  1. but 99% THINK they will get drafted, otherwise, what's the point...
  2. Good takes! I've been saying, for awhile now, that CFB and CBB are becoming the JV of the NFL/NBA. With NIL playing sports in college is now moreso a job about making $money$ and how much $$ can you make vs getting an education. Not saying in the past college athletes prioritized their education (Cardale Jones tweet about not going to OSU to "play school" comes to mind) but NIL, free agency, and conference realignment really exacerbate it and liken CFB to the NFL. The JV unit always played on Saturdays in HS and it looks that way for the foreseeable future in college too.
  3. Notre Dame holds all the cards.
  4. I saw this and a firm rebuttal from Barrett Sallee on twitter. It looks like the big10 and the sec are the only conferences that matter anymore, might as well give the winner of the big10 the rose bowl (or even better make the big10 championship the rose bowl) & SEC vs big10 play for the natty
  5. This brings me to a post I made on a similar thread. What sparked the impetus for the change of scenery? Regardless EMU will automatically become the powerhouse of the directionals but with what baggage
  6. so good for the MAC! I actually love it.
  7. Was Emoni a bust at Memphis or just searching for a change of scenery? hmmm
  8. V surprised Ryan Rollins got drafted esp to GSW. If he turns into a rotational player that would be good for him and good for the MAC - that's just how things go that late in the draft
  9. As long as the turf remains primarily green & we don't go full-blown Boise, EMU or EWU; I'll be complacent
  10. lol go seethe in a corner Charmayanne
  11. What even is his name - Antavious? What could his parents have possibly been.... Oh wait.
  12. He's nothing spectacular. I watched him play against an average Massillon team and I wasn't impressed. Didn't even look like the best player on an 0-10 team but I don't watch as critically as most.
  13. So Undercuffler appears more talented & a better thrower but Iorns is the system guy. As a secondary Michigan fan I know this all too well w/ Cade & JJ lol
  14. I hope we don't play 11-12 deep. I think 9 is as deep as one should go but I'd prefer 8... To each their own, but after 9 or 10 you'll see a sizeable drop off in talent.
  15. Excited about Prince. I assume he'll immediately challenge for a role.
  16. not elated w/ this signing. Idk the kid (& he may be a beast; he is 6'7") but anyone who only has two offers (us and CSU) doesn't impress me. With the current state of athletic affairs at UA, I'm a bit disappointed we didn't go after someone more coveted.
  17. NIL turns college sports into amateur or JV sports - the JV always played on Saturday anyway. Ha! I think NIL's impact on college bball is far greater than fb but it's ruining both imo
  18. Yeah there is no immediate concern though once we pick our last two guys the sooner they get to campus and jelling w/ the rest of the team the better.
  19. I think the true driving force behind conference realignment has to do with the capability, politics and readiness of superior conferences. (and less about NIL as it's subjectively used at some schools more than others) For example, affirmative action hire, Kevin Warren of the Big10 had zero problem delaying and almost cancelling the BIG10's football season while his son didn't miss a practice at an SEC school. No wonder OSU and Michigan want out of the BIG10. It's run by bad people with room temperature IQs. Actions have consequences and if one has a multi-million dollar university and a top tier sports program they may not want to be under incompetent leadership.
  20. The more I look at this logo the greater my disdain grows for it. I could have thought up a better, more unique, logo... Just saying.
  21. I don't love it but it's fine
