Look guys, none of this crap matters. The only thing that matters is the Q Arena and winning that tourney. We can play this game all day long--whose better, worse, blah blah-- but at the end of the day, more often than not, ONE team comes out of the MAC with smiles on their faces. Let's just suck tihs up, be glad it happened so maybe these guys will step their games up, and cheer on our Zips against NIU. Make "In Blue and Gold Pride" mean something... I'm out.

This is, unfortunately, a sign of the weakness that is the MAC this year.

Control the M&Ms (Miller and Moten) and Zips win. And for the fans' sake, please work the ball inside! Teams that live by the 3, die by the 3. We cannot expect Mcneese to do what he did last night...we need better sharing of the ball. Replicate that staunch defense last night and this team gets to the finals! GOOOOOO Zips. Any word as to the Zoom VI Akron editions from anyone? I am told so far, just House of Hoops and some test area of Footlockers in Phoenix (I know right???) are the only places. I'd really like to get my hands on a pair of them babies!

It's really got to make you ask yourself, "Would I rather have my team make the NCAA tourney and get smacked all over the place (with 10 points at half), or go to the NIT and do some damage?" Just food for thought. I mean, it's nice to say you made it, but wow, this is bad. I am happy with the way things turned out, I guess...

My biggest fear is their depth off the bench. Plus their rpi is sick nasty. I fear this will be one of those where we are able to hang with them starter for starter, but will inevitably tire out. Let us not forget that this first one with FSU was against a team unmotivated to win given their NCAA snub...NOT TO TAKE ANYTHING AWAY FROM OUR AMAZING WIN! But, the farther one goes into any tourney, including the NIT, the more motivated they become to win it all. It is human nature to want to win, anyway. So, solid first half play will be a must...not to mention better free throw shooting from the line and field, rebounding, AND turnover ratio ALL WHILE MAINTAINING THAT DEFENSIVE MINDSET (that I about blew a nut over against FSU). I know this sounds obvious but it is everso important, especially when you talk about an Akron vs UMass type matchup.

None of the MAC first rounds in our region...if your region is NE Ohio. There might be some if you're in and around any of the games being played by the teams today, though. Second and third round action on FSN Ohio. ESPN2 the home for MAC Championship basketball! whoooo hoooo

The bad news for us is that the 2nd round has us playing either Central or NIU who we are 0-2 against.The good news for us is that in round 3 (if we make it there) we would play OU, Miami or Buffalo who we are 6-0 against.We wouldn't play OUt, Cryami, or Buck Fuffalo until the MAC Championship... third round matchup would be Akron against the WMU/EMU v Balls Tate winner.

We're in his head... that's why he does the sh*t he does!!! Who cares... all it does is fuel us and negatively affect their team chemistry when they play us. And considering the upcoming possible seedings, I like that fact.

Okay, I know this subject comes up every year throughout the basketball season and it has already this year. But, I spoke with someone at work about this yesterday, and I just can't pinpoint where I sit on the debate. It doesn't much matter for us because we have to win the MAC tourney to get anywhere, it just annoys me that two teams that WE SWEEP THIS SEASON have better RPIs (OU and cryami). I mean, ESPN uses this number, in addition to key wins/losses and SOS, as a tournament resume...so it must mean something. Is it name recognition? (Let's not be foolish - those two have more than us ) Is it who you know on selection committees? I just think that it would be nice to have some post season play (NCAA OR NIT) and, should we not win the MAC (WHICH WE WILL ), feel confident about being selected to the NIT. The whole thing just kills me...oh well. Thoughts???

Thank god Wood air balled his one and only missed free throw otherwise I'd wonder if the man was human!!! A stellar performance from the MVP of that game no doubt in my mind And like we've said all along....

Bench points are going to be a major contributor to tomorrow's Zips victory as well. I was not impressed with the depth, or lack thereof, of the Chippewas. Big games from 6th man of the year, Fear the Fro Ced, and Mcnight and Conyers are a must for another shot at playing the flushes.

Hoopla, Miami and Can't split games this year so, if by chance there were a tie in conference record at the end of the year, they look to winning percentage vs. ranked conference teams, (top to bottom, regardless of division, vs. common opponents regardless of the number of times played). This is not yet possible to figure out since there are some games left that would affect this outcome. I do know, though, that this could also turn out tied. If this happens... you're looking at a coin flip between the #3 and #4 seeds. So, to answer your question, YES, Can't could be the #4 as it stands right now. Aaaaand we could play them in the championship!
