  1. Yes, Blueandgold, we do look tired... and with the exception of BG on Saturday, have you watched any of the other teams in this conference? They are also very tired and playing flat as well. I was surprised by Can't to see that typical man to man D switch in the 2nd quarter last week to zone?!? This is a natural progression that our team is not exclusive to, and, come tournament time the energy picks up - it always does! Another interesting point to make is that in our losses (AND WE ONLY HAVE 6), our average margin of loss is 3.33. It's simple...we are always in the game whether we beat a team down or lose a close one. That is the sign of desire, it's the sign of a champion. Let's see what happens this week and go from there. I will be attending the game in Buffalo with a few other rowdies and will post thoughts at that point...
  2. Romeo and Dru will step it up big tonight in their last game at the JAR. BG has nothing to play for because they know they're done in the first round. Expect a large crowd if not for the last home game then for our seniors. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the makings of a blowout...and the start of going undefeated the rest of the year! Akron: 75BGSU: 53
  3. These are some of the best posts I've seen you guys put up in long time!!! Lovin it...
  4. Wow bigzip, that really puts into perspective what type of task we are looking at here. In all reality we probably won't run the table... and that's okay! Of course stranger things have happened and there is always a first for everything so who knows. I like our chances right now coming off a big televised, nonconference win going into Miami. I think fatigue and/or mental errors might cost us with one of these games left... honestly it could be Buffalo, Canada. That team is good at home and their student section always brings it to the opponent. One step at a time though is probably the best way to look at this thing and maybe, just maybe we will be And as always,
  5. The thing about Miami is that they have an innate ability to keep close, besides Can't as of late, with any team they play...no matter talent level. Zips are clearly the better team on paper and on the hardwood but Miami is always tough at their house. It will be another defensive struggle in route to a low scoring affair. Close one all the way to the end...Akron: 58Miami: 56
  6. Hey, we're used to it in the MAC!!!
  7. For as much as I'd like to say that we have a shot, we don't. It's the nature of the beast being in the MAC that ony the conference winner gets in to the big dance. Had we beat Nevada I'd say there would be an outside chance but it won't happen. Heck, look at Cincinnati last year... there are too many teams this year that have that "outside chance" due to the competition being so evenly matched. Our schedule is simply not tough enough for the committee to give us a serious look. We're getting top 25 votes because of our overall record...period. Win the MAC tourney and we're in!!! If we're the best we'll prove it in downtown Cleveland.
  8. I just miss wearing the rbberized bald caps that resembled huge condoms on orur heads... you can't tell me that's not classic humor!
  9. Zips, as much as I hate to admit this, get exposed to the MAC and the rest of the followers in the country by losing at home...Darn those hangover losses when you think you're at the top!!! :(OU: 65AK: 59
  10. After what I saw at Can't St. kast week, Toledo lives and dies by the 3. The suffocate defense that Akron brings to the table, combined with the dominance of Wood down low, will ultimately result in a game much less competitive than we think. Sure, home court is nice, but this difference in talent between East and West just can't be ignored... Toledo makes a run at the end to make the score closer than the game actually was.Akron: 70Toledo: 62
