Feels like this went under the radar, but Kent just got a lot better. Him and Sullinger will be a force in the backcourt.

Being honest, he just does not fit as an NBA player, he will be back I am guessing. We truly need him for next year to be competitive!

I've been harsh on Senderoff over the years. I even came up with "Mr. Pinky" and should have copyrighted/trademarked it! That being said, he had his team ready for the tournament and they answered the call on numerous occasions. Carry and some of his teammates aren't the most likable kids for their opponents, but what we see as cockiness and showboating is seen as confidence and having fun by their fans. If Carry's sweetie was a UA undergrad, many Zips fans would have seen him similarly.
I unfortunately agree with everything you say here.

Really need to play good defense tonight. Toledo shoots the LIGHTS out from three.
Need to run them off the line, make them beat us in the paint.
Millner is a great guard in transition as well, just play smart Akron Basketball.
Let's Groce Ball them to death here.

These guys are something else.
They also DESERVE CROWDS LIKE THAT! IF YOU HAVE TICKETS OR A CHANCE TO GET THEM, LETS MAKE THAT HAPPEN ON TUESDAY FOR ANOTHER HUGE GAME!

Never quite seen something like that.
Being at the game, it was pretty insane how in Emoni Bate's head our students were. His family was motioning guns, middle fingers, etc. at them all game.
His brother even walked over to confront some students about it at half time.
I have never seen a fall from grace like this from a player. Seeing how his family acted, it is pretty clear the apple does not fall far from the tree.

I am hearing rumors of a huge student turnout. With how they have been all year I would imagine that Emoni Bates is going to hear some very mean things yelled his way. Those kids are BRUTAL when they get opportunities.

What a game. Not a GREAT game in terms of actual performances, but X and Enrique were fantastic.
Enrique I actually thought really struggled in the first half, but once he figured out Agars physicality he was fantastic too.
Sammy Hunter was just INCREDIBLE tonight. Offensively and Defensively he made a few mistakes (two bad turnovers and a charge). But overall I am LOVING that Groce believes in him and the team is trusting him. The people I talk to say he often is the best player in practices, so I am pumped to see him put a game together.
Tavari was not great tonight. I have been a big "Start Tavari" guy, but maybe move Sammy back in? Both of them seem to work better off the bench.
Lastly, would LOVE to not rely on Kobe and play Garvin when he is back.

Great to see the X news.
We have some injuries which sucks, but I for one am super pumped to see all of the freshman we have out there.
Tavari, Nate (basically), Kobe (basically), Amani are not always playing great, but it is nice to see their potential when they understand the game.
Forums feel negative as of recent, but I am confident in this team come February and March.

This will be a great test for us.
I am hearing and assuming no X or Garvin again.
So:
1. We looked GREAT against Ball State.... until we didn't. Can this team put together sustained runs without their primary ball handler and scorer.
2. WHO will step up? This is a great game to see if anyone can help Enrique and Tavari. Would love to see T Hank get hot, etc.

I think we absolutely have our third guy: Tavari Johnson. He is a stud in most games, had a bad game today.
Do we all believe in him?

I am always a little bummed reading the recap of these games.
We got SMOKED three times straight in Florida last year and won the MAC.
Listen, today was soooooo sooooooooo disappointing. It hurt my soul watching our brains get beat in.
But, honest question. Does anyone really think this team cannot win the MAC with how we have played in games like WKU and Maine? I know those teams are not Kent level, but please be honest, I would love feedback.

Zips have ruined Christmas. I have NEVER seen us play so poorly in my 4 years here. Plenty of opportunities to crawl back though. Greg Tribble is just a black hole offensively recently.

Clearly our best all around game yesterday. I keep seeing "let down" posts on here, which I find utterly stupid.
Let down? We have not lost a game we were supposed to win this year, undefeated at home, and our losses come at the hands of 4 fantastic teams, one of which is a top 20 team in the country.
This team had an entirely new look, Tavari is in and Sammy is out as a starter. It takes time to warmup.
I think that the lack of attendance falls completely on marketing.
Knowing people in those circles I know that our marketing is done by one GA, and that person is overworked and underpaid. Want people and students to show up? Put money into marketting.
Great game fellas.

Are we all in agreement that Clyde Price is leaving? Singlehandedly cost us two games with fumbles. I figured it is more of a when then if.
