Am I the only one thinking that this tournament is a HUGE win for us? Yeah, the shooting has been actually abysmal, but shooting will even out over time. We look smooth, more ball movement, less Ali Ali dribbling into 9 defenders. I am happy, losing helps us more than winning sometimes, see last years MTE for details. Go Zips.

This game brings me ONLY confidence. Sammy is playing better, rebounding better, bad games from Trendon and Nate, whatcha gunna do. Bring me Nevada.

Officially worried about Sammy's shooting

I could not LOVE our coaching staff more. I truly mean that. My only thing is that you cannot let refs determine the match. OBVIOUSLY the first call was horrendous and everyone knew it. But, regardless, we clearly let some things affect our attitude towards the game and the coaches certainly feed into that. Also, PITT DESERVES CREDIT! Their keeper was incredible all game, great defense, fine handling. I still go back to Shooky and Dysons terrible decisions leading to red cards. They cost us this game.

I am in the middle here. I LOVE the passion that the coaching staff has, but I truly think it creates a dissent towards our programs from the refs. Was overhearing conversations from knowledgeable fans saying how refs truly hate having to deal with the constant moaning from our coaches and players. We need to be a tad tougher. Good season, embarrassing ending.

Not our greatest game, but I find myself in a similar situation to last year. Leaving a WIN and saying "Oh boy we are in trouble if we play like that against a real team". John Groce leads the mid-major version of the Tony Bennett Virginia Hoos. Ugly, Ugly, Ugly wins, but we win! They'll figure it out from three as long as Greg Tribble can keep passing like he was tonight. I would LOVE more Tavari Johnson.

What do we think Jared said to Shook and Dyson after those cards? He has to be furious right? I am still baffled how they allowed themselves to get reds knowing the importance of what comes next. Relatively inexcuseable.
