He dominated at JUCO and looked substantially better than Nunnally coming out of JUCO - good enough to get a P4 opportunity. Of course that doesn’t mean he’ll any better, or as good as Nunnally, but it’s at least a comparison point. He’s a guy to be excited about and will join a really young DE room with loads of upside. Now we need to address DT. Happy New Year!

We’ll land some good players. It’ll be difficult to retool the lines of scrimmage at a high level with no NIL funds, but we’ll see what happens. There are a number of offers out there that we don’t know about. I’m just posting the ones that have been placed on social media.

When a break does come, they’ll have to make a decision if education still matters. Few are talking about it but graduation rates amongst football players is decreasing. Course credits are getting lost/not accepted amongst multiple transfers.

Today is the last day for portal entries (sans playoff teams), so our hemorrhaging is nearly over.

We usually carry 7 scholarship LBs, so there is a spot still open. My guess is we’ll fill it with an upperclassman from the portal. We have a ton of young talent at this position and our oldest LB is a rising redshirt sophomore.

A good portion of the P4/G5 talent has been sorted out as far as offers go. There’s still some movement to be made as bowl games wrap up, but now it’s searching the lower levels for solid additions.
