Something I would love Groce to look for is the power 5 bench player transfers. I have seen other schools do that and it gives you talent immediately. if you are sitting on the bench at a school like Illinois and get recuiter over. You can come to Akron hoping to be a star. NIL doesn’t matter since at Illinois you did get any money anyway and you are not a proven commodity sitting on the bench.

1st off. Thank you to the seniors… what a fun year. We got to the mountain top! a Mac tournament title. looking to next year I think we have a future superstar: Sharon Young. He won 3 straight class 4 titles in WV and also won Gatorade player of the year. He is a power 5 talent coming here! you have a gap year and let him grow and by sophomore year we will be ready to hand him the keys. Zips will be just fine if we keep Groce

Here is my prediction: Akron 68 Creighton 65 MVP of game is Freeman. His speed gets by their 7 footer as they think they don’t have to double and he makes them pay! X factor: Mikal Dawson, he must take and Make 3s

I think we have a chance… Creighton relies on the three and is not deep. If the Zips play free and hit shots. I think we can keep up and maybe pull the upset. excited to see what we can do!

I am so happy for these boys… it’s time to play free with house money… so long have they been the hunted, time to be the hunter, hunting for an Upset!

do you think this is game is enough to bring us to a 12 or 11 seed? currently we are a 13 playing Baylor. I know it changes every week. but I would love to get into the 12 seed line. 12 seeds always win vs 5 seeds

I was disappointed in the Caymans. Something I always say is modern Basketball is a Guards game. having a big man is very important, but to win a MAC Title we are going to need to a Guard step up as the end of game guy. Castaneda was that guy. who is next... Freeman can't do it alone, and without Ali, I am afraid we might be in trouble. I think this game is the perfect time for someone to step up, if nobody does I worry the season could have a lower ceiling then I was hoping. Please let a Star be born tonight in Vegas!!!! Go Zips!
