According to Topdrawersoccer scoreboard, W. Mich beats N. ILL 2-0. According to the MAC standings, we now have a 4 way tie for second place.

Just got off of the Gaucho athletic wbsite. The Player has been removed from the team. Head coach hs been suspended for one game. Finally, regardless of the result of their final games, the team will not participate in any post-season play.

I am not so sure about a push instead of a punch. I have just been on the Gauchos message board, and a witness at the game stated it was a punch. Whether he was close enough to see it or just assumed that since the Ref went down that it must have been a punch , who knows.

Goal N. Ill 1-0 Huskies with 6 minutes 1 second left in regulation. Nail biting time for the coaching staff of West Virginia. If I am looking at the standings correctly, including last night's result, Mountainneers could miss the MAC tournament??

For the second straight match, UCSB loses an OT match at home, this time to Stanford 1-0. According to their radio announcers, they still have to make the Big West Tournament and probably win it, in order to make the NCAA tournament.

Look at the highlights near the end of the match. It was #25 Salaam who kicked the ball out of play after Meves had blocked out close -in shot attempt , but was then out of position due to his diving attempt.
