A great deal happened to this team the last few weeks. I doubt seriously KD could have done a better job. People are human , make mistakes, they are not robots. Never mind what some other fans might be saying at other MAC fan websites(honestly, I have not looked), Zips and the coaching staff did a good job.

VCU is outstanding and played a great game. You cannot go into a game against them very short handed at the guard position and EVEN COMPETE. I am not saying that we would have won. But physically, we were not the same team as we were 2 weeks ago.

Dr Z, When KD made these comments about being ready to play, was he anticipating 2 players, one of them your starting guard, (a position which was already short-handed),to have severe flu???

You cannot be this depleted at the guard position and expect to even compete against the type of team VCU is.

Not who you want to win, but who WILL WIN and why? Comments please. As I stated in another thread, Mich is not depleted at the guard position, and has in fact, the best PG in the country. They will get the ball into the paint and VCU will have great difficulty stopping. Mich wins.

VCU is very good and played a great game. But with the best PG in the country, in Burke, Mich will be able to get the ball into their post people and win.

Since both Michigan State and Michigan are playing games in Auburn Hills, my guess , for financial reasons(MONEY), both of those teams will play the two night sessions, therefore Zips will probably play one of the 2 afternoon sessions

A month ago, I would have said our at-large chances were around 10%, at best. Going into that game, a win, coupled with wins against Can't and Miami, plus an appearance in MACC, around 40% . Now must win 2 in Cleveland. Also, even with a MACC win, no better than a 13 seed, playing in the back yard of the #4 seed

YES , THOSE ELITE TEAMS DO LOSE TO BAD TEAMS, BUT THEY HAVE A MUCH GREATER MARGIN OF ERROR THAN WE DO!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND YES 1 OR 2 PLACES IN SEEDING DO MANY TIMES MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
