The Live Stats on the game at CBS Sportsline shows #5 as 11 of 12 for 134 yards.
The first blurb on ESPN.com reads: "Akron's Charlie Frye and K-State's Darren Sproles stole the show as the North beat the South in the Senior Bowl."
Regardless of what anyone else may have to say, Charlie Frye just plain looked more like an NFL QB than anyone else on the field today. The other QBs looked like very good college players. Charlie has a presence out there that I'm sure the NFL talent scouts did not fail to notice. He led the team on good drives and made all the right moves at all the right times. On one of the sacks he was blindsided by a defender who was unblocked and caught Charlie while he was still dropping back in the pocket. On the other sack he was surrounded by some of the best defensive linemen in the country. A play-by-play analysis of the game film will show that Mr. Frye is a lot more advanced than he was given credit for by the announcers, who struck me more as lightweight entertainers than serious students of the game.
