Can't remember who played for Kent in those games. St. Mary's is clearly a better program now, but even then, they were second only to Gonzaga in their conference and clearly had NBA talent on their teams..
So do we. 😉

Awesome. Have another team to root for. Congrats Enrique! Unbelievable turn of events, owing to very hard work over the last few years!

They never did catch that Zodiac killer.

Whenever they show a Purdue game they mention Zach Edey was the leading scorer and second leading rebounder in the NCAA this year, I wish they'd mention who the leading rebounder in the country was (who also happens to be 9 inches shorter than Edey).

Not even close. In 2013, we lost to VCU 88-42.
And even without that one it's kind of splitting hairs.
2024 lost by 17, 60-77 to Creighton
2022 lost to UCLA by 4, closest loss ever 53-57
2013 lost by 46! 🤮 to VCU 42-88
2011 lost to Notre Dame by 13, 56-69
2009 lost by 13 to Gonzaga 64-77
1986 lost by 6 to Michigan 64-70
So 17 isn't great but isn't that out of line.
BTW our seeds in those games starting with the most recent were 14, 13, 12, 15, 13 and 15.

Emoni Bates got drafted. Enrique is light years ahead of him as a player.

TNT NCAA tournament halftime show had a trivia question "Battle of the Dukes - Duke, Duquesne and JMU". First question - what school won it's first schools National Championship in soccer? Duke - in soccer in 1986 beating Akron 1-0.

I think you may be making a reach with Garvin Clarke at center. 😊

It's Zeke. Reasonable offense, absolute dominant defense.

And I see Donna and Elyse in the stands. Happy for them too.

Watching the A-10 final. Duquesne playing really well, although I think the streamer release in the first half was a little premature. 😂 Wholeheartedly, unabashedly rooting for Dambrot and the Dukes.

In the spirit of the rivalry I have picked on Senderoff quite a bit over the years. I'm not impressed that he's the winningest coach in their history as he's also the longest tenured coach in their history, but from an objective viewpoint he generally has his kids ready to play and with rare exceptions his teams are always near the top of the MAC. This most recent run without a preseason All-MAC player and last season's freshman of the year to get within 5 seconds of a MAC championship was most impressive. As such, he's clearly been a successful coach worthy of some credit for his success. Groce says good things about him and if I'm willing to trust his judgment with the Zips I'm willing to trust his judgment on this topic.
I will now return to my regularly scheduled program of referring to him as Mr. Pinky and making fun of him.
Just saw his post game presser. Dang you Sendy I want to dislike you but that was a great and classy presser. Stop it. 🤣

One reason I was really nervous about this game. This was our best chance in a while. Next year is going to be rough who who we and KSU have returning. Always hopeful, usually realistic. So happy for this year. 😊

Someone good at memes needs to do a pinky one after Rollins foul, he and the bench reaction is priceless.
F Jim Christian too. I couldn't stand being on the same plane with the filthy flashes earlier this year.
As pink as I have ever seen him.

Hmm and one of the players he said he "didnt like" - Greg Tribble, whom he fouled and then hit the winning free throws. You can't make this kind of karma up.

I still don't know what the Kent player was thinking fouling with 4.8 seconds left. I haven't seen such a bone head basketball play since JR Smith during game 1 of the NBA finals.
I'm so mad an OU poster beat me to this one: Kant read, Kant write, Kant count. 😂🤣

Hell of a way to take the all-time series lead. Greg Tribble - way to come through under as much pressure as you could have been.

Guessing a 14 seed. 13 if we get really lucky.

What the heck just happened!? Did Kent really intentionally foul when they were up 1?
It wasn't an intentional foul. It was a brain cramp foul.

Davis is the most physical player in this game and has the most leniency. It's BS.
How was that not a foul on Davis on Tribbles drive?

It’s a high level game. I hope we can keep Freeman on the court for the rest of the game. That blown offensive foul hurts.
How do you miss a defender stepping into the offensive players path? Terrible.

Playing pretty well in his current game. 16 minutes, 12 points, 3 rebounds and an assist with only one turnover. His teammates have hung him out to dry a few times but he has acquitted himself quite well. Definitely looks like he belongs.
