    OK everyone, TAKE A DEEP BREATH, its only a game played by teenagers. :cry: The sun will rise tomorrow and life will go onward. It was a fun season. :D Anybody who thinks this team underachieved this season is nuts. :unsure: We lost three key players and still made it to the semis. Enjoy what you have and quit trashing the very people who made it happen. :rock:

    My sources tell me we are only $1 millon away from our goal of $20 millon needed to make the announcement about the new stadium. :D Preliminary site work has already started with the demolition of several buildings. The lead fundraiser for this project is none other than Gerry Faust. :unsure: It appears that he is doing a great job! The stadium will be sited as I said in an earlier post. Look for the announcement soon. :thumb:

    :lol: I love the Jawanza Moore reference. I loved that guy! :D I think Rob Preston is playing like a senior should. Its a welcome sight after years of watcing DHip destroy his players psyche by the end of their career. :nutkick: Whatever happens this season has been fun. :cheers::screwks:

    There is no way the Browns will ever play an exhibition game at our new stadium unless it seats about 60k. :CK_brew: That represents the # of season ticket holders who are forced to buy preseason games as part of their package. The best we could ever hope for is some sort of scrimmage during training camp. :macc:

    HEY PEOPLE, WHAT'S WRONG WITH 54% FGA? RUSSELL HOLME HIS FIRST SSN SHOT POORLY FROM THE FT LINE, THE NXT SSN HE WAS ONE OF OUR LEADERS, IT'S JUST PRECTICE & GOOD COACHING (TEACHING).
    Russel was one hell of a FOOTBALL PLAYER! :chair: The reason he could play center at 6"3" was he was very strong. On defense he kept people out of the paint. Our inability to do that on Friday night is what cost us the game. My biggest concern is finding a defensive center for next season. If all he gets on offense is rebound putbacks I would be happy. It would be great if Dambrot could use Bubba's ride for a juco center. :cheers:

    I hate to quote myself, but this is from the EMU thread:"...you make a good point that I have thought about a lot this year:  Steve French is always all over the officials.  Now, to be fair, I am a college and high school official, but when I am at a Zips game I am a ZIPS fan. But it always seems that Frenchy is riding the officials.  When I go to the games, I usually have my radio on with earphones, so I see a lot of the calls that he complains about. Now, 70% of the time no one in the gym has a better angle or distance than the referee. Another 20% of the time fans just are ignorant to the rules (for example, there is no such thing as "3-seconds" in the key. It is called a "lane violation" and it usually takes about 5-6 seconds to get one called!).So, my point is that when there really is a bad call, we don't know because most of the time Frenchy doesn't like any of the calls!!!' :blink:OK, so all that being said, agree it could be much worse as we could have Bill Needle :zzz: As for the comment above about him missing calls and players' names in football:  he needs to have a spotter. The spotter is going to tell him information like that to supplement his play-by-play.Also, our braodcast have production value. Have you ever listened to a Can't State game? it is all monotone voice with no music beds or any of the 'extrasa' that provide color to the broadcast.  They go into and out of commercials with voice and no music most of the time. Plus, can anyone actually get 100.1 FM?? I can get 1350 AM strong.Sure there are others better than Frenchie, but he better than what most have in the area! :rolleyes:

    Corporate realitys are what prevents Goodyear or other Akron area companies from making that type of financial commitment. Goodyears stock price fell yesterday because they didn't make their profit projection for the 4th Qtr of 2005. If we want to sell naming rights or find a large contributer it must be from either a very profitable public corp or a privately held company. How about some more realistic ideas. I wouldn't be surprised if there has aleady been a corp that has stepped up to the plate and made a sizeable donation. How about this one LEBRON/NIKE FIELD :rofl:

    I'm looking for someone to split a MAC Pack for the BB tournament. A MAC Pack consists of four lower center section reserved seats for all sessions.     Any guesses as to attendance for tonites game? The students are back so that will help. If we can't get people to the games in the middle of an 8 game winning streak than I wonder what the problem is. :rolleyes: The ABJ coverage has been better and UAM has spent the $ to promote the team. Now its up to people of Akron to show their colors. :nono:

    Class move by NIU's coach at the end of the game by not turning it into a free throw contest. :) The Zips keep getting better each game. :thumb: I hope that Dials makes it through the season. He looked like he was hurting most of the game. This will be a rough week with the CSU game sandwiched in on Monday.

    Your right CK, I got my point guards mixed up. :rolleyes: Ball was like all the other players that played under Hipsher, he got worse as his career went on. I've asked him about this many times and his answer is that Bosley was treated differently than other team members and the other players(ANDRICK) resented this. Also coach HIP wasn't the easiest guy to play for. Anyhow I think KD's system doesn't need a "goto guy" and thats reflected in his recruiting. Team players who share the load and will work hard. :screwks:

    Couldn't agree with you more about Andys fate after the WKU game ZW. Jammals freshman year featured him scoring 43 against CSU in a duel with Mouse Mcfadden. That had to be the biggest crowd ever at the JAR. There were bleachers instead of the blue upper seating and people were sitting in the ailes because it was packed. I'd have to say his freshman year was the best for me. B):screwks: :macc:

    I'm going to add to my rant about the ABJ. In todays edition there is a story about the death of Dave Brown. Dave was a local guy who went on to star at Michigan and later for 15 seasons in the NFL. It was nice that they put the story on the front of the sports section but they could at least check the facts. Brown is a graduate of GARFIELD HIGH SCHOOL not EAST as mentioned in the story. The facts just seem to evade the ABJ. :chair:

    Well, it seems as though the cast has been set for BB coverage this season. :rolleyes: Last nights contest was not covered by the ABJ. :( The story appeared to be based on a phone call after the game to KD. Its obvious that if an away game is farther away than say Can't State we might as well forget any coverage. The only other major sporting event last night was the CAVS home game so that cannot be an excuse. They did write a nice article about the womens game and a full preview of tonights Can't State game. :wall::screwks: :macc:
