One Board Suggestion: Is it possible to re-format the board so more "Topics" are seen on the top? When I bring the board up on my screen, I see "Football," "Hoops" and "Others" as the topics. I need to scroll down to see the other topics. I specifically started my "License Plate Poll" in the "Other Sports" section because, if I posted it on one of the more appropriate sections below, I don't think nearly as many people would have seen it. Can we format the existing topics "2 across, 3 deep" so recruiting info (+ something else, like Z-P's aforementioned "fun" stuff) is immediately visible when the screen pops up and not buried below? I think this would help a little in generating more traffic. As a side note: If you look at the other boards with seemingly "more traffic" the content is pretty weak: Joe Fan: Post - "Go Hoos!" Response 1: "Yeah, Hoos rock!!" Response 2: "Can't wait until that first game!!" Response 3: "Yep...lotta 'Hoo Brews' goona go down that day!!" Response 4: "Hoos all goin'?" etc...etc...etc... I'm glad we don't have to sift through that crap on our board. No offense to Hoo fans...just a name that came to mind.

Dude: I recall your response to a similar Z-P malaise on the old board last year...something like "Relax...take a few Midol...I'll be over in a few days!" Remains one of my all-time favorite posts!

Dials was a walk-on. My take is he feels he deserves a scholarship, and O'Brien isn't willing to part with one. I would think he'd be an asset to the Zips.

To call Zip Watcher a "twit with Zero Basketball knowledge" is a pretty weak, uninformed statement. His question was legit, and fairly stated. Personally, I trust Dambrot. If some of these assistants can teach a 12 foot jumper and decent free throw shooting, I don't care if they're from Hammel Actual College. The local ties don't bug me. Most of our roster is from Ohio anyhow, and if we keep the local HS talent "home" we can do pretty well in the MAC. Dambrot garnered the #15 recruiting class in the nation while at CMU, so I'm sure he's got good contacts regionally and nationally too.

My inside source at Buchtel Hall informed me there is a fierce battle going on to save the University seal on the Ohio plates!! "Pro-seal" alumni have organized a web site to promote their cause. I was unable to get the link, but did manage to nab a few images from it. They look like a crafty bunch! In the process of voting to keep/remove the seal, I propose that anyone capable of refering to Joe Paterno as a "young man" have their vote discounted.

I agree, last year's event was not nearly as good as 2002's...but it was a good time nonetheless. I hope they get some decent prizes this year...last year I won a closest-to-the-pin and only got a Zippy head cover? Moving from Raintree to Mayfair probably puts an extra $20.00 per person in the University's scholarship program. It's ok by me...I'm pretty much there to drink a bit...whack a ball around..and as you said...mix it up with the coaches a bit. Always a good time!
