Supposedly, the City is going to free up parking for the area somehow. That should be interesting to see how that happens.I noticed some new on-street parking on Cedar, but that and the internal parking lot are not enough for 450 students. Guess they are hoping for students w/o cars!

I said he MOSTLY has corrected special teams, and I do think punting has improved some (we don't get blocked punts like we used to).And we've heard that he is not taking as many chances on borderline athletes, so that's why I said he's corrected the recruiting. The results/proof of that won't be evident for a year or so though.

and McNees...? Anyone able to peek in on their practices?I'm hoping C. McKnight will become the Romeo clone he seemed to be early last season and that Bardo and/or Swiech can fill in immediately. That should allow JW to run wild in the post.I'd also like to see B. McKnight get redshirted only because we're losing so many after this season. Any experience he can get without using a year will help continue the winning the following year.

I think JD has already acknowledged his recruiting mistakes and turned that around (hopefully). He also has mostly righted the special teams that were neglected last year. JD seems to be learning from his mistakes and I hope that trend continues. He has a few years left on his contract and we don't really have the $$ to buy it out at this point, but I think JD and the AD have the option to make staffing changes if needed easier than changing coaches.

Speaking of Cincy.... the latest SI has two of their HS teams ranked in the top 10 for the nation; Colerain and St. X. I wonder if UC has similar problems recruiting thier backyard as we do. With their (UC) success on the field this year, they may have an easier time than we've had.

NEOUCOM/P does do some research (~$8 mil?), but not as much as it could. They have added to the facilities there recently. I'm sure, as I believe Dr. P has mentioned, Summa and AGMC would benefit more if they were in Akron, as would Plusquellic's recently announced "medical corridor". I can't imagine how long it would take to recoup the cost of moving one facility to another city. The savings would have to be really good to make it worthwile. The capital costs also would be tremendous.

Dambrot is right. Why would we invest in a 10,000 seat arena when we never fill a 5,500 seater? I'm planning to show up to every game I possibly can, both Men's and Women's. The better attendance we have, the better our chances are of replacing the JAR.This arena concept is being led by the city. The city looks to feature UA basketball and a minor league hockey team. A new hotel on site to replace the Crowne Plaza at Quaker Square could also be added.is this part of the deal too?Akron Energy?

Wow, what a conundrum... do you take the chance to play in the NFL by walking on, or go play at an Ivy League school where your degree is probably much more respected? If JD can land this one, there shouldn't be any problem with academics.
