I suspect Bardo and McNees since they haven't played any yet.
-
Whether they are or not, I expect the Nevada game to sell out. Not sure about the L-M or St.F games. Hopefully the local media and UA sports marketing can help out with pimpin' the games, but I'm not betting on that.Hopefully some students will still be around to help with the home court advantage. -
from what I've seen so far, I think McKnight will be seeing more PT than Rybek.I also think Milum is finally starting to come along since the NIT games and will see some productive time.
-
All the others show Zips by 1.5 or 2 pts.I remember last year they seemed to end the opposite of the oddsmakers (lost to Army, etc.) and have again this year, so I would agree that they probably don't win again.
-
actually I think the attendance wasn't bad considering the opponent and the Browns game conflict... 800-1000 maybe? Still better than in the valley of Crawford years.
-
I was also there... McKnight looked pretty good so far. Surprised to see Goddard as one if the first guards off the bench. Was concerned at the half when we led the rebounding only by a few (16-14?). Conyers had a nice dunk after a steal near the end of the game. Assuming Bardo is being redshirted since he didn't play. New "Dunks for Dollars" charity means we will probably see more of them. Wood had some nice moves in the paint, but again, the level of competition wasn't that high so he should have been able to do that.Back to work... that's all for now.

The odd thing is it is listed on the schedule magnets and season ticket brochures as a 7:00 game, so there has to be a reason it was changed to 2:00.

I'm sure the Tressel years are the basis for that. How is it that Akron is larger than Youngstown and we have zero TV stations? And I realized something a few weeks ago... there isn't a city in the entire state of WV that is larger than even Cuyahoga Falls! (obviously no pro sports there, but still...)The TV stations also bid on contracts to air the football games and air the coaches show. -
what was wrong with Domonkos? his leg is stronger and he seemed to be able to hit the long ones, but not the XP's.
-
not to mention the Akron radio stations... I heard this morning's sports report on 97.5... started with news about the upcoming big 10 game, then Browns; not a peep about the loss last night or the upcoming basketball game against Tiffin.
Is that TV and radio? All 5 News stations in Youngstown -
at least one blocked that I can remember in the home opener against NT...

3 turnovers by OU in the first half and we get zilch... Getsy takes 2 sacks in the first half that might have given us 2 field goals... negative rushing yards thru 3 qrtrs... this is beyond ugly
-
bookies had us as 6 pt underdogs... we lost by 2. may not hurt as much as we think.

Looking at the box score only seems like Dials poor shooting (except at the foul line) was a factor in the game. Maybe they were hoping he would get fouled going into the lane on the last drive. It may have been a toss-up as to risking drawing the foul using Dials or Ced's getting the basket on his better ball handling skills driving the lane, but I think I agree with the others that Ced may have had the better chance. If Dru hadn't have been fouled out, I would have given him the nod.

Actually there are only 63 spots left... but who's counting.Navy accepts bowl bid
-
attendance listed at 14,512... how was the "butts in the seat" attendance?
-
I hope JD doesn't chicken out and keep Getsy in the rest of the game.
-
The ABJ said it was $180k/yr, but there were no other details given.
-
So does the band leaving us with only piped-in musicI agree though of putting the band downstairs during winter break because most AK-Rowdies go home!
I know some alumni who are willing to fill in for them during break

If I read the rules right, that may be part of the reason they said the new stadium would be 25k (30k seat stadium = must avg 15k attendance, under 30k seats the rule would not apply) and expandable to 40k or whatever. If you get to the point where you need to expand, the 15k attendance requirement is moot.

OK, I'll give you that the major sports (Browns, Indians and Cavs) haven't, but the Cleveland Force won a MISL title a few years back, the Akron Racers won the title a year ago, and the Akron Aeros also won their title a year or so ago.Noone has won anything up here since, forever. -
I never did get my season ticket package, just the simple flyer. I ended up calling in my order while on the way to vacation last week. I wonder if they just aren't starting to work on them too late and have to rush and that's how all the mistakes are being made (no time to check... off to the press!). I will say that they are friendly about the ordering, etc. I just wish they got things going earlier.

I'm planning on it.
