I thought that might get a chuckle. But still, why isn't JD, Mack, et al being interviewed about the game on the local stations? Oh that's right, there's nothing going on south of the turnpike!

-
their local station is also covering it... where's our local TV coverage?
-
$1 is because it is supposed to be "Turn Back the Clock" night... how far back were the tickets $1... 1950??? Wonder if that means the team will be in throw-backs?
-
I noticed in one drawing they called out a Nike store... wonder if we are switching from Adidas? Could be one reason for the big sale on Zips/Adidas merchandise. Wonder if they (Nike) would/did give towards the new stadium?

There's a huge block of land that the city owns between Perkins, Market, Rt.8 and Union. I've been watching the news for some announcement of what they are going to do with it. Not exactly "on campus", but not as far away as the RB is now.
-
I actually got both... my email is on file with the alumni assn so they send stuff (got the e-version of the "Akron" magazine today, got birthday greetings from "Zippy" last January), and I'm a season ticket holder for basketball so I got the card in the mail.

No loss is good, but it's better losing on the road than at home.
-
Starting away at Pitt wouldn't be any worse than this past year's starting schedule. Having them home to open would be better and would be a challenge and would help get out a few bugs before traveling to THE University of Columbus.

Some random ramblings...Looking only at the stats, they shot the ball pretty well (except at the f-t line), but just weren't able to hold on. The turnovers were about the same as the previous games (not great, but similar to what the other teams turned over). With Wood out, Dru with a bum wheel, playing on the road against a much larger team, and coming off limited practice due to exams, I think they did OK. With a few fewer turnovers and some better shooting from the line, we would have won. Quade is coming along well, McKnight is going to be a great player, only Dru and Romeo leaving, the future is still bright and I still think we will do well in conference games. Let's worry about getting things done tomorrow against St-F first. KD is still the man for UA!

refs definately didn't help the situation, but shooting 50% at the free-throw line is not helping yourself either.

refs aren't helping, but maybe if we hit our free throws...

It's a home game for Ced... Zips roll!

Don't forget Romeo's younger twin, Chris McKnight, and the still-improving Quade Milum. I think there are many good years ahead!Bardo and Sweich plus J Wood -

speaking of scoreboard videos... I also liked the one of Zippy doing his pregame routine (weight lifting, running to the JAR, etc) and then appearing live on the court at the end.

$500/seat/year

I believe you are correct that to get one season seat in the lower section requires a $500 donation plus the cost of the season ticket. Upper reserved (where I sit) is just the cost of the season ticket ($150).

I wonder if the players could have done that better than KD (if NCAA rules allow?). I love what KD's doing on the court etc., but making "commercials" doesn't seem to be his forte, and that's OK. Just get us the wins, baby! The most creative thing I've seen from this Marketing crew is Dambrot, reading a cue card, asking people to bring teddy bears to the St Francis game. -
Had I not been at the WSSU game, I would have no idea that the next home game is dollar night ($1 GA tickets). I'm sure this is meant to get more people there, but if they don't tell the people about it (radio, TV, etc.), it won't succeed.
-
I hope this isn't a case of KD and a contract bonus for X wins. I know he and the players also want to win the conference, but I hope that playing some weaker teams doesn't hurt us later on. I'm sure he was hoping to get the bench/freshmen some PT before conference play in hopes they could contribute more depth.

Another suggestion might be to have the offending person move to the edge of the section so as not to detract from the uniform look? I understand the dress code thing, but even some of the Rowdies were wearing things over their shirts.
