I never said the Zips should win every game.  As a matter of fact, if you will look at my posts, I said I wished the Zips could compete like an upper level FCS team.  That is not too much to ask for.

I guess the difference between me and ZG01 and the rest of the board is that y'all can take a modicum of solace in a loss.  We can't.  Losing sucks.  Period.

I hate losing at anything. It irks my soul. I don't expect to win every game either, but I would love to see the fans and this staff DEMAND some urgency. At least act like you give a f@ck.

That doesn't answer my question. You're using last year as a basis to say ISU isn't very good. Fine. I can't use last year as a basis to say Troy is a good G5 program?

I was at the Iowa State game. I have watched a lot of football and that is a top 4 MAC team at best.

I am just frustrated as $hit!! I am sick of losing and nobody seems to be as pissed off as I am about it. I want results now. I am sick of waiting and watching bad football while I wait.

Serious question  ZG01 and Keener - will there ever be a loss where you don't think the world is on fire? Not that I think last night was a "good" loss. So spare me with the excuse bullshit because I am not making any. Get blown out by NFP contender? World is on fire. Lose to ISU? World is on fire. Lose to Michigan closely? They weren't that good. Lose to Troy closely? They weren't that good.

Is any team that we play closely and lose to going to automatically be assumed to be "not that good" simply due to the fact that we played them close?

We haven't beaten a D1 opponent since October 22, 2016. Since then we got throttled by a horrendous buffalo team. We then turned around and got hammered by Toledo. Then we get beat by one of the worst teams in the MAC at home against BGSU. It gets so ridiculous that we have to throw in a high school quarterback to go get beat at Ohio. I know... I know... injuries. Excuses excuses

I understand losing to PSU, but come on.... we didn't even have a pulse! They could have beaten us by 100 if they wanted and penn state hasn't exactly been blowing people out since that game.

iowa state isn't very good. That isn't my opinion. That is fact. Last year they beat a 4 win San Jose state team, a horrendous Kansas team and a powerhouse 5 win Texas tech team. That's it. This year they struggled to beat their D-1AA opponent far more than they struggled with us.

Troy is the best "loss" we have this year. Congrats.

Wait a second.  Troy beat Southern Miss last year?  Well that changes everything! Southern Miss?  The mighty 7-6 Southern Miss?!?!?  You can't be serious.

And as far as using a close loss to a good team as any kind of a yardstick to measure a team's quality is absolute folly.  It means less than jack $hit.

I watched a terrible Akron Zips ball club piddle fart for 4 hours to lose to an equally inept Troy squad.  Spin it however you want.  That was bad football.  If you can somehow pull any type of value out of last night's debacle, I wonder if you could enjoy watching 4 hours worth of

    trainwreck-strain.jpg

    Or

    DumpsterFire2.jpg

    Or

And then get on here and tell me why I was wrong for thinking I watched a TW, DF, GF.

Even though your friends might be geographically challenged, they obviously know nothing about recent Sun Belt football.

Troy won 10 games last year, beat Southern Miss on the road, and lost 30-24 to Clemson (The National Champ who absolutely pounded OSWho, if you need to be reminded).

But please, continue with your tirade that losing to Troy is a loss to a garbage football program.  There's a reason why they were so heavily favored against us.  You might want to to a little research before posting next time.

I know who troy is. The general public for the most part doesn't. Either way... Troy wasn't that good of a football team. They play just as crappy of a schedule as we do and pile up the wins.

I commented after the UAPB game that it appeared like they were blocking our our pass rush WAY too adequately for having a smaller and less talented football team.  We're going to have to do something to get to some QBs down the road.

Go back and look at my posts.  I didn't see this team getting past .500, and downgraded that to "maybe not even 4 wins".   But again, none of that changes the fact that we played pretty self-destructive football last night, and still nearly won as a 17 point underdog on the road.

I'm not disagreeing with you. That game is a would-uh, could-uh, should-uh if I ever saw one. It still pisses me off that we blew it.
