  1. Everybody know the only four sports that matter are: Men's Basketball, football, baseball and Women's Basketball.
The comedy resumes. Funny to watch someone struggle to rationalize away things by using avoidence of some facts and framing of false premise to explain away others. The 800lb gorilla in the room is Football. You can't avoid it. Stop trying.
  2. WZIP is run by a h*m* and is a mish mash of music.  It could not compete in the real world of business cash thus the only way the sorry thing stays on the air is through our tax dollars.  Being the best student radio station is based on the contest they entered to get the award and is akin to being the best looking gal in a school of the blind - who cares!
:lol:It's amazing what lengths people will go to be a-holes. You can't possibly be thinking anything else other than "watch me go on zipsnation and be an jerk about stuff"
  3. I don't think we will beat Penn State, but I dont think it's an impossibility. heh. Unfortunately, even with the winning attitude the program has now under JD, I still suspect that the primary goal will be not to get hurt, first, and winning second. If you think like coaches, last thing you want is guys out for part (or all) of the season.

  4. Having a minor in psychology, I should have recognized your comment as an insult to my intelligence. I guess I was hoping to give you enough credit to atleast sink the topic down to political debate, not pure mudslinging. Anyway, my comments weren't directed at you specifically. They were just my statement of opinion regarding what I view as sexism.

  5. What the heck do Democrats, Republicans, and Libertarians have to do with me saying that men are better than women at basketball?  People will go to such lengths to deny the obvious it pains me.
"leftmost outskirts"Oh, and you are the one who is acting indignant. If you have nothing to be defensive about, why so upset? N'est pas?
  6. then threads like this pop up and reminds us that sexism still exists.
Whatever, if it makes you a sexist to say that men are better than women at basketball across the board, then i am indeed a sexist and you reside firmly on the leftmost outskirts of the bell curve.
I don't care about your left/right bellcurve. I'm a libertarian who thinks republicans and democrats promote the liberal/conservative illusion for the purpose of making politics appear to be a legitimate battle of ideology (which it usually isn't).Regardless, if you want to come up with stats supporting your arguement either way, great. But if it's your opinion that men are just better at coaching basketball because they are men, then it's my opinion that your opinion is sexist.
  7. See, I would think that most of what remains of the feminist movement really are just the "feminazis" who want nothing more than cultural/political superiority for women, but then threads like this pop up and reminds us that sexism still exists.Yes, there ARE more differences between men and women than just what's between their legs. Duh. But if it makes you a feminist to think it's wrong to say men can coach better as a blanket statement, then consider me a 225lb feminist who doesn't lack testosterone.

  8. What if Mack Rhoades totally abandoned plans for the on campus stadium and instead came out with the ingenius and totally original plan of renovating the Condom Bowl?? You know, to preserve all that history.... .  How would you guys feel about that??
I don't care if you do that and build it out of gold (using Mike Brady's plans, ofcourse), and then build around it a Ca$ino, an Amusement park, a record size shopping mall, and hotels, it would still be bad location.
  9. hrmmm.... well.... Since I'm sure lawyers could make just as much of a case against you for a premeditated, planned, and conspiratorial effort to destory property over time as they could if you did it in one fell swoop, and the risk isn't necessarily greater, why not just be efficient about it. Anyone know where they can get some TNT for scottditzen? ;)

  10. There is no way a new shed gets built in time for the 2009 season. It will take at least a year if not two years to buy the land and another two years to build the stadium. We are looking at 2010 at the very earliest.
It wont take 2 years to buy the land. It might take that long if they get into a legal fight and/or require eminent domain action, but I suspect almost all of the land is owned, or deals have been struck. That being said, you don't just drop in a stadium. Even if they broke ground this year, it doesn't necessarily get done in two years.
  11. if we keep adding teams, then I think we should treat each side of the MAC as seperate conferences when it comes to championships. In other words, both East and West should get their own bowl bids as champions, and not necessarily have to play each other for one bowl bid. Also, if we have 20 teams (twice as many teams as most conferences), why should our BBteams all go to the same conference tournament where only one champ results?

  12. The stadium really should have dorms and retail attached. I am looking at Cleveland Stadium right now from my office. I can assure you all it's  as vacant and lifeless as always, save for a few days a year.
Exactly! What's the friggin point of putting a stadium right on campus if it's going to be unused for 357 days in the year.
