  1. i agree that our starting d line is good on size but its the depth and size with the reserves that scares me. i do think that stokes and grant should be able to put on 10 lbs before the opener and will add some bulk to their long athletic frames. i can't wait for the spring game! :screwks:
Putting on 10lbs is easy. Putting on 10lbs and keeping your speed/quickness/agility, that takes time and work.
  2. No offense to JD and his staff is intended, but that fieldhouse is the single greatest recruiter this university has ever had. When NFL players walk in and their jaws drop, then you know you have quite a facility. Of course high school kids are going to give you a second look, especially if they've seen the piss poor facilities that other schools have to offer.
That's why other Universities are starting to jump on the field house bandwagon. Nobody likes to lose a recruiting edge.Which is why the stadium is important. It's the next step but it's a big one (in reference to things that help draw talent in)
  3. I suspect that we should have continued levels of success (if not more) next year, and because of recruiting, for several years beyond.Coaching should continue to improve, even though there have been a few changes, as long as JD continues to build his system, all is well.I would like to think that fan support and excitement will increase. So, the biggest unknown is how much the competition in the MAC east brings on.

  4. Aren't they just doing HOME/AWAY based on Seed number in the bracket? If so, you could complain about how Akron was seeded, but I doubt they will listen. Even though, if you scan the brackets, Akron is one of the few teams with over 20 wins (and we are well over 20) we are seeded lower apparently due to RPI.I'm not sure even if they are doing it by seed, but if they are, the only home game we will get is if we meet UTEP. ...and in my opinion the chances of UTEP getting that far is even greater than Akron doing it, and the chances of both Akron and UTEP making it to the quarter finals is unimaginable.

  5. I love how people think an antagonist attack is going to movtivate people. You would think that someone who is in, or graduated from college would have a better understanding of human nature than this. If you want the "oldies" to pick it up a bit, do you really think that bitching and fighting will encourage them to see it your way? I mean hell, we are supposed to be on the same side here.
