Great post from Can't's fan forum:- Those guys from Akron are acting like they just scored double digits on the ACT exam. What is the enrollment numbers at Can't? 37,000 including the regional campus? So two dorks wearing Can't State shirts walk into the Can't student section. How could you possibly know they are not from Can't? As noted the stunt was clever but not an "outsmarting" of Can't students. - This could never happen to Akron. No self-respecting Can't fan would ever wear an Akron shirt.- If I hear an Akron alum at work tell me one more time that Q, Mincy, Singletary, the trumpet player in the pep band, President Lefton, the janitor, or whomever from Can't is a thug; I am going to vomit. -With respect to the "crying Can't cheerleader" picutre, Akron fans don't realize that those are "tears of joy". She was actually looking up at the basketball championship banners hanging in the MACCenter. But then again Akron doesn't know what those are, so how can expect them to understand?You caught me I'm a Can't fan, I've stated that before.Oh and another thing, its sorta pathetic you have your forum automatically change K-e-n-t into Can't... OK this was somewhat clever but not that amazing. I'm sure if people dressed up in Akron gear came over with a sign we would do the same thing... thats like me sitting in a lecture class with 200 students and in the middle of it going "OH BURN, I'M NOT IN THIS CLASS, IN YOUR FACE"... LOLI liked it. You guys were brave souls to be down there amid the classes, vulgar, quite-less-than-creative unwashed masses that are your average Can't students. Once again, the AK-Rowdies shined brighter than the Can't students at the MACC. Good job!Yeah because flicking off people and "golden shower" chants are sooo classy.Dude what game were you at? Every time I looked over at the Can't section there were at least 10 people flicking us off. Golden shower? I don't recall that one, maybe a few people tried to start it, but it surely didn't catch on with the whole section. We sang the damn FIGHT SONG. Tell me that isn't classy as opposed to "f*** Dials, and f*** the roo." Please. And the Can't students were one of the weakest students sections I have seen in quite some time. Woohoo you have 1500 students at the game. Who gives a shit if you guys don't cheer until you have the lead. There was silence from that section for about 30 of the 40 minutes. It's nice to have the numbers, but I would take the AK-ROWDIES any day!Of course you would...1500 students is pretty impressive. And I for one know that Can't fans still cheer no matter what, thats your observation versus mine.I went to the game last year and I deff remember Akron fans being quite quiet when they were down. Oh and how about this year when you guys were losing at the end, the radio stations and TV stations were talking about how the Akron fans were leaving already... and I witnessed that too. Don't call into the question the loyalty of Can't fans, just because you have WAY to much time to make a sign that says "We Suck" doesn't prove anything. Also, industry standards say that any pledge of a gift must be paid in 5 years of the pledge. Did you know that Infocision is giving 20 million dollars... over 20 years. all student sections will have their chants that arent very sportsmanlike.Heres the one I like, walking back to the car there was a group of self proclaimed Akron fans yelling " F Can't State" "I hate KentState" and threatening to inflict harm on anyone that would voice there opposing opinions. They were extremely disrespectful to the many old and young walking back to the cars after a great game. This is nothing new I saw the same thing after the football game at akron this year.A few bad apples can spoil the bunch, and that's true at every school. OU's fans were pretty obnoxious too.Maybe we should start talking about productive topics like Central Mich. for our next game. Any insight on that team?

The elderly woman was being treated for her ANKLE which was stepped on by Milum during the scuffle. As for class, refer to the third picture above with, with the middle fingers up in the air.Can't fans weren't classy but do not lie and say our fans are any classier.

I agree Ham-n-cheese was pretty classless and I hope JC can work on that, or Can't is going to have some problems with Technicals

I admit I'm a Can't fan but I go to Akron, Whats the problem with liking both? My friends go to Can't, I have nothing against them. But I also root for Akron, mostly during Football. I wasn't trying hide it, no one has asked before.I just like to call it how it is.

The only people we should blame is ourselves for letting a 10 point lead slip. And if you ask me, I think we are just as big as "Thugs" as Can't because we started the fight that lead to the technical and I was at the game and I saw a zips fan go behind the Can't bench and try to start a fight and got thrown out. I'm embarrassed how we played and acted.Also on another note, who ever starts poking fun at the guy from Can't's elite eight team that was in the news paper for alleged rape charges needs to shut the hell up, that makes us look like shit. I give Can't some props for taking down his jersey banner before the game.Lick our wounds, get back in it.

Yea, but the JAR's scoreboards and video board are bad ass.yeah but our courts arn't big enough to have those jumbotrons in the center, I think Can't was somewhat smart to put the two jumbo screens at the corners and have that new Daktronics board put it... Fans have a better view

I actually think the MACC is very comparable to the JAR... I don't think either Can't State or UA has much to be proud of LOL

That game was crazy, Can't played like crap, you could tell OU needed to win that game. I think we shouldn't be too comfortable, because we saw how Can't rallied back late in the second half. And they are going to be PISSED going into our game. Not to mention the refs looked like OU paid them a little more I know you'll hate me for saying this, I didn't mind Can't's jerseys I thought they were kinda cool, but I don't know why they are using the color black, its not one of their colors...

Yep, I hear ya.Everything went Can't's way tonight:They won on the road.St. Louis beat (21) Rhode Island (Can't beat St. Louis by 40 something)Cleveland State beat Butler (Can't beat Cleveland State, so did we)Their RPI shot up, ours dropped BOO.

The sad thing is that people are graduating from all Ohio schools with degrees in unemployment, I'm sure there are some from U of Akron

I think we have the best Engineering programs in NE Ohio, excluding Case (Is that a private school?). I see Akron as a Science and Technology leader. In general, I don't know that the article really said all that much. Again, I think some serious cost could be taken out of the state college system, but someone needs to make the hard call and start yanking programs out of schools, and that includes OSU! Proenza seemed frustrated. He's the man, and I have a feeling he has more up his sleeve to push Akron to the top.What will happen is Akron would become a STEMM school (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine) or thats what our president wants us to be.Can't is slated to become the Miami of NE Ohio, and thats been something that has been in the works for quite some time, say what you want but Can't will become the selective traditional liberal arts research school. Which isn't bad for us, we will become a research intensive school concentrating on what we do well. We need to make our own niche and my personal opinion is that Akron has been copying Can't too much...Say what you want but thats how I feel.
