  1. Akron 65Miami 70I predict Akron will start strong, maybe a lead into half, but we will fall into our curse and play sloppy second half and it will be close until the end of the game when Miami will catch momentum in the last few seconds and make the game seem like it wasn't as close as it was...
  2. Last night's attendance:3,056 - Akron3,576 - k-e-n-t_______520 more at k-e-n-tWe're getting better but still not good
  3. Well we arn't "small" but we are still essentially a "Commuter school" which is normal. K-e-n-t is the residential campus in the region, and I think its gonna stay that way because Fingerhut has close ties with Can't State. We should be concentrating on being a research school, which we are doing. It doesn't help that we don't do much with the City of Cleveland, k-e-n-t has multiple partnerships with Cleveland and even they have hard times getting into their media market...It'd be sweet if we won the mascot bowl...but don't count on it doing miracles for us, I personally don't think many people care about that, can you remember who won last year without looking? K-e-n-t signed on to a marketing company to do the marketing, this company is really good but I forget the name...
  4. Thanks for the stats,I dunno if I believe those because I live down by OU and go to their games...but oh well.Keep in mind, OU's is probably "high" because theres nothing else to do down there. Keep in mind, K-e-n-t and Akron are 10 miles apart, we split the fan base.Still disappointed by our attendance.
  5. Actually, anything above 3000 is good for OU, they usually do not draw large crowds.for OOC K-e-n-t didn't do to bad, it was George Mason though, so I dunno...What's our excuse then
  6. 2,225 was the attendance according to ESPN...Pretty low.
  7. Lets hope this game doesn't hurt us... as stupid as that sounds, this win did nothing for our RPI and it might have made us too comfortable. We'll see.Other MAC wins today:Ohio beat Delaware (attendance 3,538)K-e-n-t beat George Mason (attendance 4,378)Toledo beat Drexel (attendance unknown)CMU beat Cal. State Fullerton (attendance unknown)
  8. Um, just a correction to a statement above, k-e-n-t is playing North Carolina this year in addition to Xavier and St. Louis
  9. Yeah, I agree the times were shady.Just a correction, K-ent lost AT Detroit...it's still a loss though, Detroit isn't a easy team. I'm personally kinda nervous about K-ent because they beat Hampton (which is pretty good) and Coppin State by 20+Should make for a good match up this season!!!!! On another note with football, did anyone notice Wester Mich. beat Iowa??? Go Mac beating Big Ten.
  10. That's Stark State. It's a community college run by Can't, like UA's Summit College. I am saying that we need to put an actual branch campus there. It can focus on Steel refining technology (partner with Timken) and chemicals (partner with Ashland). There would be real research done there.Um, K-ent state has a regional campus there already, it is NOT stark state, Stark State is next to it. Actually the K-ent State Stark campus is one of the largest regional campuses in Ohio, its actually pretty good, Timken already has tons of money invested with it, and Timken has a family member on the board of trustees at K-ent...so I don't think your idea will happen. Also, although I would like to see it, I doubt Akron would be Northeast Ohio's Hub for education, I would see it going to Can't State more than us because they have more infrastructure and money...Wishful thinking though!!
