to clarify on the gold shirts, we would have gone with the gold shirts again but we cant find that "gold" anymore. As far as I know any gold we were shown was a Can't state yellow or in all honesty a diarrhea yellow....sorry u asked u got the answer

in terms of the yelling, i think its more to fire up the students (hey lets go, this is a big game, we need u loud down here) not to de grade them at all. Atleast thats what i did, cant say about anyone else.

as for the click thing it just seems to happen no matter what year we are in, the more "die hard" ones (go to othere sporting events outside soccer and basketball) just seem to well hang out more. Its non intentional at all. And again Ill be up in the upper section on Saturday, acouple ones that have graduated will be up there as well to try to get that going.

we did yesterday, which included the team looking up at us and getting all hyped. We dont do it at home when there is a group of people doing it 1. out of respect of the performers and 2. we had a complaint a few years back. Ha but when arent at the JAR its usually fair game

first off UAZip0510 i respect ur opinion, i remember you pointing this out the AK-nerdy thing 2 and a half seasons ago when i was down in Florida, changes have been made (including all UA students being allowed down low), obviously by the increased attendance last year and now the Ball State game something is working. Again I respect your opinion just want to let u know that. Mama Zeke, its baby steps with the upper section. As much as I want them to be standing and making noise throughout the game right now its not going to happen. Now that being said we finally have them sitting all together, and believe it or not Ill be up in that section starting next Saturday to help them out. Can't shouldnt be a problem (as expected) and if OU continues to grow in the hype machine that shouldnt be an issue. But its the other games where we need those atmospheres is where the help will be needed. see you at UB

i will also point out that this occurred without any give aways such as OU giving out 1000 yes 1000 free replica jerseys to Ohio students, and also Buffalo giving out "Reggie" tshirts for there students.

if the specific problem that u say is non Can't games, let us go back to the fact they we JUST HAD the largest student attended game non OU and Can't since Dambrot showed up.

ok heres my 5 count with some bonus points.... 1. A bit sloppy, still some shooting woes (9-33 from 3's) but it will come. Shots dont look terrible but we do have a week to figure things out now. 2. 3 players with double doubles last night. Harney, Kretz, and Zeke doing something i havent seen. Gotta love using our size advantage. 3. Harney..14 pts 11 boards and 4 assists. 3rd straight game in double figures for the Harney Badger. Getting hot at the right time. We did see this at points last year, can he continue with it is the real question. 4. Im interested to see if we can continue this strong inside play in the MAC. Rebounding advantage of 60-31, pts in paint 44-18 last night. Can we yes, def have the ability, but got a feeling teams are gonna start jamming the middle (especially when we play the BG, EMU and now Miami 2-3 Zones) and making us shoot alot more jumpers. 5. Zeke...the big man reached 1000 pts in his career last night. An accomplishment that most of thought may not be reached his freshman year. You look at him from freshman year to now its mind boggling. Hes finally aggressive, rebounding well, can shoot great at the line. and as many have pointed out before the NBA potential is showing up. The scary thing is he is still developing as a player. some side notes: Jonas is clearly the new steve sweich of this team. fan favorite, place goes crazy when he scores, gotta love him - according to KD, abreu was sick last night. Explains a bit of the sloppy play, but at the same time we need better play from our backup pg - as i pointed out in #1 we got a week till our next game, time to get people healthy and figure out this shooting slump, its money time now. - around the MAC, nice win by Can't vs CSU last night. Gonna need more then Evans if they want to contend in the MAC. Got 17 from Brewer and Holt. - 1 point loss by Miami vs UMass, Redhawks are a tought to judge right now - Buffalo goes down at Tulsa. Bulls missing Oldham right now (hurt wrist) season low 32.2 percent shooting last night - final point on Akron, we leave OOC play 9-4 (outside of the bracketbusters). Around where i thought we'd be. Could be 11-2 (get back the Coastal and Detroit games) up next next Wednesday opening up MAC play at home vs Western Michigan. Time to defend our regular season crown. Tip at 7, see you all then.

BIG win, we may not realize now but this is the type of wins come February/March and will look good. With their size and skill im pretty sure Princeton will win the Ivy League this year. 2. We beat Princeton at their own game. Yes we love to run but tonight we played slow and still got a W. Years past we havent been able to pull out a win like this (Dayton VCU Nevada just to name 3) 3. Despite 4 fouls Zeke still put up 17 points (in 17 minutes). The 2nd 3rd and 4th fouls were VERY weak. The sky hook from almost the 3 pt line was great. Since the Creighton game the light switch has come on. Finally seeing the NBA potential out of him. Watch out in MAC play. 4. Just like a year ago in the MAC tourney semis Abreu had ice water in the veins at the end. 2 huge free throws, need a leader like that. 5. Finally congrats to Coach Dambrot. 300 wins is an amazing accomplishment. Has made Akron a winner year after year. Say what you want about his past, but realize people make mistakes. KD has learned and has been openly thankful that UA has given him this chance. 3400 on hand seemed like a lot more then that, well done Akron community. Things really got loud down the stretch. just my 2 cents on Tree......i absolutely love watching him play. We saw glimpses of what he could do last year especially against Buffalo and the Can't game in the MAC Tournament. (which you can watch right here ) We all know that he is a ball hawk on rebounding but what has been most impressive to me is that his offensive game has taken a jump. Looks comfortable, not out of control like he did at times a year ago. Sky is really the limit for him seeming the jump he made from year 1 to year 2 imo this is what we could of got out of Wood if he stayed healthy for a full 4 years

lol who knows.....ive only been here 5 and a half some already have graduated, some are in grad school....they just like rooting for the Zips....as for me i should be graduating this year who knows after that
