well we got about 7000 zippy bobbleheads left from that "great" promotion at the OU football game earlier this year.

From talking to the coaches, there was no indication of a west coast trip this year. I will say it was kinda odd to hear that UCSB wont be making the return to the Pouch this season, as i thought it was a home and home with them.

To answer ur question the people scanning the cards work for the ticket office, now people handing out the wristbands are from the ROWDIE board. If u want them more vocal then they will be more vocal on Saturday.

to answer the question about wristbands, facilities wants us to do that for the lower seating bc it is "student seating."

if ur denied let me know, it either means u go to Can't or ur not a real person. we want both ends full of Akron students ROWDIE or non ROWDIE as long as u root for Akron its fine with me.

i said it before ill say it again, u dont have to be a ROWDIE to get on the floor. Its as simple as going through the student gate and asking for a wristband. Its seriously that simple, just ask.

UCLA will be at home, also St. Johns, USF, FGCU and Michigan will all be coming to the Pouch next year. We will be on the road at Creighton (fsc) PSU, MSU, OSU, and Notre Dame in the Mike Berticelli Memorial Tournament in South Bend. Not sure on the 2nd team in that tournament but ive heard Indiana which would make sense bc they were at it a year ago. Not sure if we have any FSC games at home but thats being discussed this week.

i will say though the atmosphere at games has been drastically improved. KD said it in his post game last night having an atmosphere (and im talking everyone, ROWDIES, blue seats, bleachers) like that really helps his team, so everyone keep it up.

when i was in charge i did, but no idea now. i will say it looks up, but not anywhere close to what it needs to be for a 8-1 first place team. its not even an issue of having to have a ROWDIE shirt on, anyone is allowed to sit down there, they've been letting akron students down there the whole year. Do we prefer to have u have a rowdie shirt on yes of course but there letting any akron student have a wristband. its as simple as asking for a wristband when u come in the student entrance.

its something that will be addressed (if) a new arena comes. As ive said in convos with KD we def would like to have the student seating (section) on the side similar to MSU, OU and OSU. I have never understood student attendance at mens basketball games, but no need to complain bc this is something that has been discussed before. Is it better then last year, yes but it should be even better for a team that is 8-1 in the conference. BTW nice attendance last night, 4000+ for EMU is a good sign for things to come. I know those games are on Wednesdays but they have a better name value then EMU. Back to trying to get people to NIU i guess lol

to answer the question about Mayer, bc he has already signed his release papers he is no longer allowed to practice with Akron. So the only place you will see David working out at will be the U of A rec center.

just to give everyone a heads up, unlike past years, none of the freshmen enrolled early so the spring games will consist of all of the players from last year. With that being said not sure how many we will see bc of minor injuries that have taken place in spring practice. Tommy and Stevenson both have pulled muscles, Trapp and Gallego have had or currently having (literally Wills is today) minor knee procedures done. Again no major injuries just some minor pulls here and there. btw Will called Koroma "One of the best hes seen" man cant wait to see him and the rest of this beastly recruiting class.

Don't worry Zip fans just spoke with Coach Porter, Alfred Koroma did sign with Akron. Said it was one of his hardest persons to get here but he got him to sign. In his words Koroma is "an absolute beast" and Top Drawer Soccer named Akron's class #1 in the nation....hmm whos ready for the 2012 season

well this past fall he was in Akron bc i had class (had to even do a project with him) here at the U of A.

difference in this one will be the amount of bodies we will be able to throw at Jones. Jarrod is a good player no doubting that but the fact we will be able to throw Zeke, Nik and Tree will make a difference on Tuesday night. I think the Harney Badger, Q and Co have a good offensive game and the Zips win this one. These arent road trips anymore, they are business trips. Final Score Akron 75 BSU 63

2 off the pace im good, dang MAC west killed me though. Nailed the every MAC east game this past week, but Ball state losing and NIU coming back from the dead to beat CMU killed me on Saturday.

With our current RPI (granted it can go up if we win the next 3 games) look for teams like New Mexico, Katz mentioned Iona (great matchup in my mind) North and South Dakota state, and finally yes Butler whos back in the bracket busters this year (would love to go to Hinkle Fieldhouse.) Also win 2 out of the next 3 we will prolly have a tv game.
