I think the key to beating Can't is controlling Edwards. The Zips game plan seemed to address this today. I thought Matt Siebert did a good job on Edwards early. Where did he go the rest of the game???? I'll NEVER understand Hipsher's substitutions. I talked to Andy after the game. He said they noticed Edwards only had a few assists all year and they wanted to double down on him every time he touched the ball. Nice work. Hats off to Dru. Clutch clutch clutch free throws !!! Anybody miss Hollingsworth???

Men's Basketball's Hollingsworth Suspended Indefinitely Senior point guard to sit remainder of season due to violation of athletics department academic policy. Feb. 27, 2004 AKRON, Ohio - University of Akron men's basketball student-athlete Johnny Hollingsworth has been suspended for the remainder of his senior season due to a violation of the athletics department's academic policy, head coach Dan Hipsher announced Friday. The suspension is not related to any NCAA eligibility issue. Hollingsworth and fellow senior Derrick Tarver sat out the Zips' Feb. 21 game against Drake, serving what was then a one-game suspension due to the same academic violation. Tarver was cleared Friday to compete Sunday against Can't State. "Being a member of the Akron basketball program means taking care of business in the classroom," said Hipsher. "We gave Johnny and Derrick an opportunity this past week to shore up some academic issues, and Johnny did not do so satisfactorily. Having my players graduate is first and foremost, and I won't reward them with playing time unless they hold up their end of the deal in class."

That would make Ellen Alexander and David Lee (YSU fan) Morgan happy. They were falling all over each other at the Brookhart press conference saying what a mistake it was for Akron to hire Brookhart. Both wanted the Zips to hire Winters. I believe the saying was "hiring Winters was a homerun" When is that Can't football game? We better pound them and there pot smokers by 20 !

What are the specifics of your system? What operating system are you using and what browser?

After that weak schedule we played last year, I would rather play a tough schedule. I'm pumped for the start of the season. Don't count them out of the Penn State game so fast. Good QB's will make good WR's. It will be very hard to replace our group of WR's from last year, but it will be fun to watch who Charlie "makes a good wr" If Z-P says that Charlie has put on more upper body muscle, sounds like he is real serious about the season. I hear Charlie is on board with Brookhart's offense (as opposed to PD reports) and is watching tape constantly. I wish the season started this weekend.

Did anybody happen to catch the report on Channel 19 about the misspelled diplomas last night? They went around the campus and asked students to spell privileges. It was classic ! Somebody needs to make a sign for Sunday's game. Somebody in the pouch.
