Dak Prescott, 75 passing attempts, no interceptions (NFL rookie record). Carson Wentz, 71 passing attempts, no interceptions.
Dolphins fan Cody Kessler gets to start this week...against the Dolphins.

If the Zips could play Columbus State in the Capital One Orange Bowl, Russell Athletic Bowl, St. Petersburg Bowl, Popeyes Bahamas Bowl, Boca Raton Bowl, or the Miami Beach Bowl it would really work out for me. Thank you.

No line on the Zips/Moutaineers yet....
Mountaineers are a six point favorite. Last week you could have made six to one, on the money line, I haven't seen a money line yet, but it's probably at least two to one.

The defense is going to have a lot of studying to do this week. Here are just a few personnel sets from the beginning of the first quarter in Tennessee.
Both starting RB's for Akron and Appalachian State are questionable to play this weekend. (see injury list at bottom)
Replay of Appalachian State vs Miami Hurricanes here. Great crowd.

No line on the Zips/Moutaineers yet, but Kent is a forty-three point underdog!?!?

We expected a good game....
Thanks for stopping by with the good wishes. Can you show me anybody in WV that expected a "good game" before noon on Saturday? I saw lots of these predictions.
Thunder in Paradise Prediction – Marshall 49 – Akron 17
I suspect the Zips will hit a couple of big plays against a Marshall secondary still trying to find itself. That same secondary will also come up with at least two turnovers, thanks in part to a Thundering Herd pass rush that should begin to overwhelm the Akron offensive line in the second half. On the offensive side of the ball, Litton and company will have another big day through the air. But, I also look for Marshall to establish more of a consistent ground game in week two than it did in week one, after a mediocre performance by the Herd offensive line in run blocking.
Good luck the rest of the season. Wish we could play every year, always love playing Marshall.

I wish the cameras could follow the team to the locker room, I want to see the celebration!

Congratulations, zipsoutsider!!! Great predictions. You are the lone winner.
-
Only LZip, GJGood, zipsoutsider, and CK have a chance to win this week, since the Zips exploded for 41 points in the first half.
Note: Of those four, only zipsoutsider picked the Zips to win.

Hope the Zips score 40, win, and Jojo scores three TDs. Good luck to all participants. Go Zips!!!

I only have basic cable, so do not get it on TV. The CBSSports app on Amazon FireTV doesnt offer live streaming for whatever reason, and you need either a cox, frontier, or optimum cable login to watch online. I'm probably going to have to go to a bar for this one...
Get the Kodi app for your FireTV, and then side load Sports Devil, and or Phoenix.

I will follow along the lines of GP1
GP1 started a cartoon series. and signed off with this....
QuoteMost importantly, thank you to Captain Kangaroo for taking money out of your own pocket to make this happen and allowing a forum for Zips fans to voice their opinions.

But thank you for the reply
Next best thing, iHeartRadio app and this bluetooth earpiece at your lunch. No one will be the wiser. Works great at weddings, piano recitals, etc.

Due to a birthday luncheon, I'm not going to be able to see the game. Anyone know if CBS Sports offers replays?
The game is only listed once on my DirecTV app (ch 221). CBSSN is not like ESPN3, they don't offer streaming replays. No DVR?

I have never seen the Badgers QB play, but I know he is better than Voytik. I have never seen a Badgers WR play, but I know they are not as good as Boyd. I'm hoping the game plan is similar. Good luck.
Circling back, I have to admit, I was impressed with Jazz Peavy's game. I'll have to keep an eye on him. Good luck against Georgia State this week.

As previously posted in this thread, Warren Ball listed with undisclosed injury, and questionable to play Saturday. Get well Warren.

Top Ten Rookies Through NFL Week 1
5. Tajae Sharpe, WR, Titans -- Tajae Sharpe’s meteoric rise from fifth-round pick to Marcus Mariota’s favorite target is one of the more astounding storylines of the early 2016 season. Against the Vikings, he led the Titans in targets (11), receptions (seven), and yards (76)—quite the start for the 15th receiver off the board last April.

It's the good thing you guys aren't Patriot fans, you would be committing Harakiri if you believed everything in Belichick's pressers.

Game 3—@Marshall Thundering Herd
in Akron Zips Football
Posted
Akron reeled off 34 points in the second quarter in a 65-38 win over Marshall in front of 24,258 silent fans - The Herald Dispatch
“It’s obvious we didn’t play well and you’ve got to give Akron credit,” Marshall head coach Doc Holliday said. “I thought (Akron head coach) Terry (Bowden) and that staff did a great job of coming in here and having that team ready to play.” The game featured a combined 1,084 yards between the teams. Marshall outgained Akron, 560-524, but also topped the Zips in penalty yards. The Thundering Herd was called for 17 penalties that cost it 180 yards. Akron was flagged 13 times for 136 yards. In the end, Marshall’s 17 penalties, four turnovers and a punt block for a touchdown were too much to overcome.
