Lets calm down about losing this game. More than a few of us were worried about this game beforehand as CMU is a quality opponent. This is the team that could and probably should have beaten ranked BC. Although Luke threw way too many picks, he threw for a lot of yards. Another favorable stat is that the Zips controlled time of possession. This game was there for the taking just that we made too many mental errors especially in the red zone. All of which (with possible exception of the kicking game) should easily be fixed. Though we should never look past any of our future opponents, I believe the worse part of our schedule is over. Go Zips!!!!

These interceptions are killing us. 14-0 despite us having the ball twice as long.

I'm with Zipmeister,Akron 24CMU 23I'm hopeful that the team will limit the penalties this week. If not it will be a long drive back to Ohio.

Thanks PSU, myself and my family had a great time at State College for the game. For those that have never witnessed it, the weekend of a home game at State College is like none other. PSU fans and myself had fun at taking friendly jabs at each other. College Ave. is crazy with all those PSU merchandise stores. I also have not heard any stories of burning cars, and sofa's like in Columbus. Good luck with the rest of the season.

I'm not sure that I agree. The Zips are a better team than NC State and I don't believe that I saw one prediction on this board pre-game that had NCS winning. For one reason or the other NCS fans seem to believe their team is better than what it is. They have been wanting to get rid of Amato for some time now. Maybe JD will put his firing in motion. However, they were never any good before him and they simply do not have a strong winning football tradition. He may be a victim of his earlier success during the P. Rivers era.I'm glad to see the general reaction to this victory. If it generates more interest in the program then I'm all for it. For me, when I expected the team to beat NCS, I'm not very excited when they perform to expectations. Next week I believe the team will be facing a much better opponent in CMU than NCS. Go Zips.

Mac Championship all the way. Don't get me wrong beating NCS is big, but they are NCS aren't they. In looking at some of their message boards it seems as if they really thought they had a run at the national champsionship this year from their reaction to losing to Akron. They ate a big piece of humble pie and don't like the taste.

It was great to see several other Zip fans at the rain soaked game. Though we were severly outnumbered we did bring the Rowdyness to State College. Hopefully, we can build that new stadium soon and continue to build the program. With a new stadium perhaps we can turn the Zip Strip to something more like College Ave. at State College.

I'll be travelling from Columbus to attend the game. Should be a nice 6 hour drive. For those planning on staying at State College good luck finding a Hotel Room. The only place I found that had any vacancies near the stadium was the Hampton Inn at $269.00/night. Talk about getting I have been reading this board for several months and this is my first post. With that said Speaking of Can't, I have not seen any posts from A Gates for a while, oh, must be that football season is near.
