  1. free throws are good tonight. ced missed those two in a row earlier, other than that, 17/22.
  2. 3.5 mins left, just keep playing the same game.
  3. this is where travis can really assert himself because all eyes are on wood.
  4. Can't held to only 7 points thus far this half.
  5. inside to wood, inside to wood, and then inside to wood again.
  6. This is the Zips team I'm used to seeing.
  7. ESPN Drive to 65I check this almost every day. Second from the bottom, finally a little love.
  8. Hmm....a free education at Northwestern and a chance to play against OSU, Mich, Mich St., Iowa, and Penn St. every year or stay at home and play for a MAC team that was unproven in DI........
  9. Why are people nervous about Can't? Wow, they beat Miami, who is down this year, by 2 points. So they blew out BG? Who cares! BG is on like their third string QB and had about 4 key injuries for that game on top of being in a down year. Can't is playing a QB who is starting only his 5th game ever (right?) and he really can't (no pun!) throw the ball. Their running back is 5'5" and isn't all that productive. Our defense is ridiculous this year, you know the guys will be pumped to play, and I think with our passing offense we really can score at will. We have better players and better coaches. And it's not even really and "away" game. I say Akron wins by at least 14. Bring that Wagon Wheel back where it belongs.
  10. So what if NT got more yards than Akron? All that matters is the points on the scoreboard. Also, Harvey had like 150 yards on 2 kick retruns. Did you factor that in? I also believe coach Brookhart went a little conservative in the second half trying to see how well Walker could run the ball in between the tackles. If Akron wasn't up by so much they probably would have kept airing it out and I don't think the Zips would have a had a problem getting down field if needed.
  11. Even though we lost the game yesterday, I have to give the defense a lot of credit for playing a good game and keeping us in it. They only gave up 17 points and held their own when the offense was going 3 and out a lot. Once again the opponents running game was pretty much obsolete, which always helps you stay in the game because they clock doesn't run as much. The offense going 2 for 6 in the red zone is just not acceptable. If we make 2 field goals we win the game. Also, the INT return killed us; it was a 14 point swing. I'm a little dissapointed, but the team has been competetive this year in all 3 games and when (not if) the offense comes around combined with the defensive play the season is still going to be very successful.
  12. No, I wish we would be up 10-7 and stop making stupid mistakes.
