Bowling Green scored 31 (about average for their O) Zips scored 14 (below average for their D). I guess that can be called progress?
Zips lost to NIU last year by way more.
But we also lost to Ohio by a lot more this year.

It was around 4:30 yesterday and they were commenting on all of the negativity on ZipsNation.org. I think it was Joe who jokingly said something like "I bet none of the people on ZipsNation has ever put on a jock." They were just laughing and having a little fun.

No way is Jeff Bowden going to be fired by Terry. Not only is he "his guy", he is his brother. I'd bet if one goes, its a package deal. Unless one decides to retire.

Based on past performance, Javon McCrea will be #1 going into the MAC season on most everyone's list. It's up to Q, Tree, Harney or any other Zips player to outperform McCrae and end up with a better ranking at the end of the season. It's not likely that any Zip will outscore him, as Coach Dambrot's teams feature balanced scoring. But they could outperform him in other areas, such as Tree outrebounding him. Harney has tons of unrealized potential. But irregular brilliance may not get him ranked very high in preseason all-star predictions. Ultimately, the most important thing is leading your team to the championship. Q, Tree, Harney and other Zips will have to consistently perform together at a high level to get that done.

It was a great effort by the team..but thats all it is, effort. Someday we need to make the most of these opportunities and pull off a win.
Pohl doesnt look right at all. Just doesnt step into his throws. I've heard he is delaying surgery until the end of the season.

some of this play calling is downright putrid. At least two runs on 3rd and long.
Still, pleased with how we are competing. Receivers need to catch better and the team needs to quit shooting themselves in the foot with penalties. Would prefer a little less conservative playcalling. Am pleased with them attempted to get #1 involved.

I doubt anybody will be 'fired' unless TB is fired. Maybe some 'demotions' or rearranging. Once the head coach goes down that road its a real slippery slope. Unfortunately,this team needs a lot more than adjusting special teams.
I disagree about it being a slippery slope. However, like you said, it wont happen. "Good 'ol boys"

Central Michigan is up on OU 10-3 at the half. The same CMU that was stomped by Michigan 59-9. College football is weird.

You must have a pretty powerful instructor. What class is that?
Strategic Management. My capstone class. It was really interesting hearing the about thoughts and transformation of the University during Dr. Proenza's tenure. I've always heard the campus is very different from a decade or so ago, but it was really interesting hearing about the process from the one who was behind it.
He also made it clear he is not a fan of the ABJ lol

Take it FWIW, but I've heard from a reliable source that Milwee called the plays last year as well. Promoting him to OC was more of a formality and less of a change in responsibility.

I just got home from the Wake vs. NCAA State game. Beautiful sunny North Carolina day, the team I have season tickets for won making the $100 per game I spend worth it, saw some well played football by both teams.... All in all, a good day. How are things around here?
Wake Forest sucks.
