I hope we get Michigan again, that first match was nuts, their goalie kept it close. From the spectators point of view, Akron dominated. Also, we all know that we were ARE the B1G TEN CHAMPS! The only strikers Montreal have are Brian Ching (not going to happen) and Justin Braun. That is probably the position where they have the least depth. According to Ives, he would be their top choice. FOUR former Zips in Montreal would be awesome! Let's just go ahead and get our blue shirt then.. "Tous Pour Gagner!"

May I ask what you don't care for in the EPL. It sounds like you like the home field atmosphere.. You'd be hard pressed to find an EPL team without an incredible atmosphere, added with the physical play on the pitch.

Exactly! Well said. It's time to start understanding the urgency of playing together and at our full potential. Just look at the votes up top, MANY Zips fans seem to be under the impression that the MBB are not going to show up on saturday. Hard not to believe that the way this team is playing (i say team loosely)

I placed a vote for what I wanted to happen.. Zips realize what's at stake. Focus on beating CSU, and take game #1 of the NE Ohio crown (YSU and K.e.n.t up next). Realistically? ...I think it's a double-digit loss. This team has no leader, but full of ego. That combination = sloppy, selfish play. Something drastic needs to happen for things to start turning in the right direction. WHO'S GOING TO STEP UP?!

As a Zip Soccer fanatic, I'm surprised I've never thought about my obscure favorite team... After some brief research, I'd have to choose FK Partizan from the Serbian Superleague. Nice choice! They've performed relatively well in Champions League. Rooting for a team like this in CL is akin to rooting for a MAC (American) football team against a BCS team. Haha, yeah... that's a similarity I observed as well. But, about the Champions League.. Anyone going to catch the matches today? This may not be the best thread to have this discussion, but I was just curious.

I completely agree with you! I never miss a Tottenham match... "Ohhh when the spurs.... Go marching in...." ALSO, a huge supporter of Celtic FC, wearing my Hooper shirt today. They've been mediocre at best lately, also the SPL can be lackluster. This year has been extremely exciting in the EPL though. Check out this site for the Match of the Day Highlight show of all the major leagues. Anyone go to a specific place to watch EPL matches on the weekend? Also, anyone watching the Champions League today? I'm looking to see how the drama unfolds with Chelsea.

Here is my tentative plan for the Charlotte Trip: My parents (Dad is an Akron Alum) and two siblings will be in town from High Point, NC from Wednesday till Sunday morning. I would like to ride down to High Point with them Sunday morning, hang out with them for a little bit, then make the 1.5 hr drive from High Point to Charlotte to watch the game with my dad and support the Zips at 7pm. Then, would it be possible to take the bus back up to Akron after the game? Anyone with information on the bus trip would be greatly appreciated in order to work this out. Thanks.

Who's going to the game on Sunday? I'm still debating, it's a 7.5 hour drive, 15 hr round trip. I have work/class on Monday as well. Yet, it could be some great memories!
