Whenever they move on from Joe...whoever was on that hiring committee should probably stay off the next one.
-
To be fair to the offensive genius, we have 29 run plays and 26 passes. We're not passing "too much" except for to note that Roggow just doesn't have it today.
-
There's definitely a real question here. You can't then magnify your limitations by hiring the wrong coach and then extending him.
-
In Year 5, we're losing by three scores to a CMU team that can't throw the ball. In Year 2, Kent State's tied 10-10 with Ohio in the third quarter.
-
Now you know that doesn't fly around here. It's hopeless, and 14-39 after today is actually really good!
-
Akron with a successful drive to take this from a three score game to a three score game.
-
Is it that quick? Wow
-
Yes, that's why they absolutely must have a coach who can actually make his players better. And they don't have one.
-
I don't actually get this impression. I think the players are trying. They're not being coached up at all, but they are trying.
-
Absolutely not. Joe needs more time to establish his program. Truth be told, Akron can't afford to fire him. We're stuck for 19 1/2 more games of this.
-
We aren't beating Kent, the way we're playing.
-
Wonder if Goodrich is still hoping for 20,000 for homecoming next week.
-
That's probably a rarity. I don't know of any other examples of Joe being outcoached.
-
They are definitely calling the correct game for their QB2 who is rattled against a defense blitzing the daylights out of him.
-
Well the run game worked too well on that last drive, so let's not do that anymore.
-
Great fourth down defense there, Akron
-
"He's gonna get 3 3 3 and all of a sudden a first down." Buddy that's 9. We didn't get the A-level MAC announcing crew...
-
Wild how that works.
-
Got an "and goal" again after a dumb CMU penalty. Let's see how we get to a punt this time.
-
OK, settle things down, Akron (somehow) feels like the better team here today. This is clearly still winnable.
-
If we were playing possibly any other MAC school that's east of the Mississippi, we'd already be down 20.
-
Joe needs more time.
-
Well clearly if they give Roggow just a little bit of time, they can do some stuff. Aaaaand another crippling offensive penalty.
-
Punting on fourth and goal brings intrigue.
-
Luckily CMU's offense is also really bad.
