I didn't see anyone post this, but it is kind of hard to get people to turn out to games when the marketing dept runs ads for games from two days earlier. If you still have your ABJ from Friday (Feb 20) that advertises a 7pm tipoff against Toledo on February 18th. It is at the bottom of the front sports page. How can something like this get through?

The guards, primarily Robatham, have to attempt to penetrate more and break down the defense. Way too much passing around the perimeter. MTSU had cutters most of the game getting easy layups. I think Pat could have scored 25 if they kept feeding him low.

While the team stayed with PSU most of the game, I agree that there were coaching decisions that hurt the team. You put the Penn St in long yardage situations, then go to a 3 man rush giving the QB all day to stand flat footed looking for receivers. On offense, the slants and crossing routes were unstoppable for a while and if there would have been the threat of a deep ball, would have stayed there. Still a very respectable showing - the score did not reflect the competitiveness of the teams.

Love ya Zips, but you'll have a long time to practice your freethrows. What will hurt is they know it was their game and gave it away. This issue needs to be addressed in the coaching staff by bringing someone who can work with the team to become at least average at the line.

Completely unacceptable to be 2 of 10 from the line. WMU can play a far more physical aggressive defense when there is no downside.

All of the effort plays are being won by Akron. It's like they're just coming off a timeout from the end of yesterday's game.

That last five minutes by Betancourt was the best he played this season.

Don't know what Dambrot said at the half, but the effort and intensity is markedly higher!!! Rebounding fighting for each one and the burst of steals.
