Check out Rasor's blog. He summarizes Nike's new contract w/ UA. Very interesting stuff! Once again, LeBron proves to be a truly loyal homeboy and first class gentleman! Rock on LBJ & go Zips!!!http://www.ohiomm.com/blogs/zips/
Please, a local homeboy who wears Yankee hats to Indians games, hangs out on the Cowboys sidelines with T.O. in dallas colors during the Browns Game and then sits on the sidelines with USC at the Ohio State/USC game, not so much a homeboy to me!

Uh, hello. He's not from Cleveland and he's not from Columbus! He's from, uh, let me think... oh, yeah... AKRON! Yep, he's a genuine homeboy. Go Zips!

Wow, what a great answer, ask around, I am sure people will tell you they are pretty much sick of how Mr. James has been acting lately, unless maybe he likes all the attention?

Cleveland fans are sick of how Mr. James is acting lately. Cleveland fans don't like him hanging out with Dallas or USC or wearing Yankee hats. Cleveland fans are concerned with the posibility that he could skip town in 2010 and leave the Cavs realing. However, noone that I am aware of has ever questioned his commitment to Akron the University of Akron and particularly the University of Akron basketball program.

I don't know. LBJ may like the attention, or he may think nothing of it. Who knows? The only thing I do know is that I've loved every minute of how Mr. James "has been acting lately,"!!! Keep on keepin' it real Bron-Bron!

Thank you Lebron for supporting your hometown team! I don't care who Lebron cheers for outside of Akron. He has been an outstanding citizen to city of Akron and The University of Akron. I don't understand how someone who come onto a Zips board and make negative statements about Lebron's affliations outside of the scope of the discussion. Does it really bother you who his favorite teams are? Are you serious about it mattering what hat he wears? The guy just got the Zips a deal that would have been only a dream if our marketing dept was dealing with Nike. He is helping our university and someone is complaining because he was on the USC sidelines :lol: . You have got to be kidding!

What does this have to do with UA? But since you brought it up, I continue to ask why is there an issue with LBJ rooting for popular, winning teams(Cowboys, Yankees) as an adult -that he followed as a kid. He's no different than the 99% of Ohioans who go around acting like they have a four-year degree from tosu and continue to support a school (winning team) they have no real affiliation with all the while ignoring their alma maters. Way to go LBJ.

I admit I would be bothered if he showed up to a Zips game wearing tOSU stuff... however I don't really see that happening, especially when he even has his own clothing line.
