ZippyAlum
Dante Love was just taken out on a stretcher. Ya hate to see that in any game. Hopefully it's just a stinger. It was a helmet to helmet hit.

MDZip
Ball State hammered Indiana at Indiana. The score was almost identical to ours (we actually got one more touchdown). Now I'm worried about Toldeo too, they took Fresno State to double OT and went for the two point conversion for the win but didn't make it. So we've beaten two of the worst D-1A teams in the country (by fairly convincing margins) and hung tough with two pretty good programs. No way to really read this team, but at least I think they've given some hope that there is a chance this year. But there is no way we are the worst team in the MAC East. UAZipster0305
But there is no way we are the worst team in the MAC East. Not when Can't loses to UL-Lafayette 44-27. I'm surprised no one has made a new topic regarding this. Can't is going to get pounded again next week by Ball State.
RACER
cinnci will be tuff game.i do agree it's hard to tell where the zips are right now.after ball state beat indiana i think we will be fine in mac play.next week will be hard game to win.the Can't game is a must win game.i can't see us winning the mac east starting 0-2.after cinnci though the zip should be able to compete with anyone left on the schedule.the transfers on offense have been a big help.we have alott more weapons on offense this year, and we can run the ball. We're about on par with Temple and BG. Buffalo seems to actually be the best team in the MAC East. Ball State is by far the best team in the MAC right now, and we could have had a very close game if we didn't come down with a severe case of butterfingers. Unless you were down on the field to hear it all, I doubt that Zip players were speading the love of Jesus out there.

Blue & Gold
To any Ball State fans reading this board, can you please keep us updated on Dante's condition and recovery? It would be greatly appreciated by everyone here @ ZipsNation. Thanks. Be assured he and his family are in my prayers.
ZZZips
Dante Love Undergoes Spinal Surgery as reported by Dave Ruthenberg at macreportonline.com on SundayCardinal's wide receiver Dante Love suffered a "cervical spine fracture and spinal cord injury that required surgery to stabilize the fracture" according to a statement released through Ball State University by Dr. Jay Matchett, the team's physician and orthopedic surgeon.Matchett also indicated that Love is "currently moving all four extremities." Love, who was the nation's leading pass receiver entering the Cardinals' contest against Indiana Saturday night, was injured early in the second quarter after catching a two-yard pass from Nate Davis when he was hit by Hoosiers' cornerback Chris Adkins. Love fumbled the ball after the hit and Indiana's Nick Polk returned the fumble for a touchdown. Ball State went on to win the contest, 42-20. Following the hit Love was attended to by medical staff as players from both sides knelt in prayer. Medical personnel immobilized Love, removed his facemask and placed him on a backboard before transferring him on a cart to a waiting ambulance. Love was seen talking with medical personnel as he was placed in the ambulance. "We were told the surgery went well," said Ball State head coach Brady Hoke through the school's official statement. "Sunday morning Dante was alert and extremely tired. His attitude and spirits are good and we are praying for him right now." School officials indicated that surgery lasted approximately five hours. Now a guy who very well may never play football again is a mouthy jerk?Get over yourself, visiting troll. YES, several BSU fans who sat in the AKRON section at the Akron/BSU were less than fun to listen to. Is it really that much to ask for the visiting fans to NOT sit smack dab in the middle of the AKRON home section? And yes, during that game I watched Love on many plays specifically because he came in with the hot hand, and was a "name" player to many of us. On many plays he was talking enough smack that I was waiting for one of the BSU coaches to tell him to get his head in the game. Obviously talented, but beyond cocky, veering into being easy to dislike. I already said that I would wish permanent harm on no one, but man, you are working my last nerve. Take it back to YOUR OWN BOARD.SeeTeeZip
