Zipmeister
Our stupid cable provider dropped coverage to go to a big ten game right after the Zips first play in overtime for a big loss. WHAT HAPPENED?

Zipsrifle
I was stuck at home for this game, but luckily WEWS Channel 5 televised the entire game this year!! I've already sent them an e-mail thank you!

MDZip
We were so lucky to win this game. Bad Jack showed up, we survived 3 interceptions, lots of dropped passes, got a few timely penalties that helped, got the overturned TD call in the end zone, had Can't miss two short, critical field goals. I'll take the win any day, but continue that kind of play and we will not be a factor in the East. And for those who have been all over Igor's case lately, he stepped up (well except for that awful kickoff and the end of regulation, but he may have been instructed to do that). Zipsrifle
Agreed. We didn't deserve to win this game, but stole it from them for the 2nd year. What a great way to put salt in the wound of your rival. This feels especially sweet after those 3 losses to them in BB.

ZachTheZip
Bowser should get the game ball. That dude almost single-handedly kept us alive, with the TD and with a huge catch to set up Igor's winning kick.Other than Bowser and Igor, it was an ugly-ass game.Dennis Kennedy averaged something like 1.5ypc and we kept doing boneheaded plays like reverses and plays that only go sideways.2 of Jacq's INTs were the fault of clumsy receivers, but one was all on the QB and there were several more that we're lucky didn't happen. Zipmeister
Thanks ZippyRulz, that helped. This is the first time I have been able to watch the Zips play this year. One thing that stood out to me was how high and slow our center snaps the ball in the shotgun. Has our qb ever been forced to signal for a fair catch? ziptrumpet87
Had to miss the 2nd half, but glad to see they came through. Jac looked bad throwing high to the receivers and they couldn't bring it down. What luck for the Can't guy to get those tipped passes. Thought we were done for at the half. Hope next year is better and we blow them out at the new stadium!

One thing that stood out to me was how high and slow our center snaps the ball in the shotgun. Has our qb ever been forced to signal for a fair catch?EXACTLY! It seems like everyone is in slow motion after the snap. Last week he snapped it over CJ11 head. Our receivers tipping passes has been a problem all year. Against Ball state, that was the case too. CJ11 is pretty good once he gets in a rhythm, but if he gets out of it, man he's scarry to watch.

Defensively, B-Will was outstanding again, and as a matter of fact most of the DB's played pretty well.
skip-zip
1) I'll take a MAC road win, in a rivalry game, anytime. That's the best football Can't will play all year, and we still got the win. 2) Jac wasn't sharp at all today, but gathered himself enough to get it done in the 2nd half. The first two INTs in the first half were AWFUL reads. And the first one kept us from going up 14-0, and maybe turning the game into a blowout.3) Dropped passes....still a major issue.4) Give that game ball to the defense. Unbelievable effort keeping Can't off of the scoreboard in the 2nd half until the final seconds. Those guys were tired chasing around Edelman all day, and played their hearts out to get us the win. I just hate how many times they caught us off guard with that inside trap play. 5) It's very noticable that we were without 2 of our best tailbacks today. I know we passed the ball more than we would have liked. 6) I hope JD scraps the idea of running Bruce out of the backfield, and finds another solution to our RB shortage. 7) I hope we don't hear anything about a "controversial" call on Bowser's touchdown....on TV it was DEFINITELY a TD. Lee Adams
first..nothin' better than the worst team in the MAC,can't, taking the hard swallow again...whew... back to reality...this shows how shaky Jacquemain is in big games...the Zips had to overcome 2 QB's today....this shows how much they miss Allen and Johnson...may have been a blow out on our side if one of those guys is available(Jacquemain CAN handoff)...Bowser IS ALL -MAC already...kennedy is what he has always been, a capable back-up...the DEFENSE is most assuredly better now than last year, but still gives up that big play on occasion...kevin grant has gotten his motor running again...edelman is a sr. isn't he?... what happened to the return game?...now the task is to win a damn home game against b.g. who is the best team in the east, until temple gets their qb back...hate to say it again' but ZIPS HAVE to win out at home and steal 2 of 3 on the road to have a shot...b.g on paper may be the best team left on the schedule...come on JD get a big game out of Jacquemain against b.g. and you have a shot at opening the INFO....GO ZIPS
ZachTheZip
Anybody catch the attendance? There were whole sections without any people in the stands. It was nearly empty on the pressbox side. The whole time I was there, I kept thinking about how much more awesome the Info will be. It's got to be around 3 times taller. RACER
the game was ugly, but our kicking game came through.considering the defense was on the field the almost the entire game they played great.i think they were just really tired at the end of the fourth qtr.i just kan't understand what happened to the running game.the dropped passed also hurt us.jac still forced alott of passes that cost us also.akron had to win this game to stay in the mac race, and we did.after seeing how bad we played on the offense there are no easy wins on the schedule.if they can beat bg they a few weeks off,and get some guys healthy. It's got to be around 3 times taller.I was there with 4 others, but once I got back here I heard the attendance was 18,500. I also was told that the Can't announcers went crazy when the Bowser TD was ruled. It was a game that we were lucky to win, of course. But I'm not complaining. We were outgained something like 235 - 58 on the ground, gave Can't almost as many turnovers as they had all year, but we still managed to win the game. UNREAL!! Am I the only one who was relieved when Martin sent Edelman into the middle of the field to take a knee with 8 seconds left and TWO TO's left before they kicked the tieing FG?Oh, and I was DEAD WRONG about the O-LINE. I expected SO much better today. DK didn't run it great, but he didn't have many holes either. Gotta play MUCH better in this area next week, regardless of the RB. johnnyzip84
"I also was told that the Can't announcers went crazy when the Bowser TD was ruled."Initially, or after the replay?Even after the replay!!! Supposedly they kept saying that since it was taking so long there couldn't have been "irrefutable" evidence. I know, this makes no sense but what do you expect lol If anything, I think we (UA fans at the game) all felt better the longer the review took. It sounded like one of them (Can't announcers) had access to the replay as well. Sounds like wishful thinking on their part to me. Bowser and one of the O-LINE knew it was good right away. w00t
I couldn't believe they ever ruled it incomplete. A couple of hoseheads from Can't commenced the griping about how awful MAC refs are after the TD was awarded. I kindly agreed with them, they shouldn't have needed replay to get it right.
