johnnyzip84 Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 Awesome find RowdyZip! I want to party with this guy next year when the Zips return to Syracuse Quote
Zippysgotagun Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 I just about wet myself laughing. I especially liked his cadaver impression. Quote
Dr Z Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 I think that's Steve's younger brother Kenny French. Quote
johnnyzip84 Posted November 8, 2008 Report Posted November 8, 2008 I wonder what Kenny is thinking now, with the 'Cuse up a quick 14-0 at Rutgers? Meybe he'll start "sweating" the assumed Greg Robinson firing at season's end. The game is on ESPNU for those interested. Quote
Big Zips Fan (220lb) Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 I wonder what Kenny is thinking now, with the 'Cuse up a quick 14-0 at Rutgers? Meybe he'll start "sweating" the assumed Greg Robinson firing at season's end. The game is on ESPNU for those interested.I don't think that Kenny has too much reason to sweat:The Syracuse football team jumped out to a 14-0 first quarter lead on an 82-yard touchdown run by sophomore Doug Hogue and a blocked punt returned for a touchdown in a 35-17 loss at Rutgers Stadium. I thought Kenny's Jim Mora impression was pretty decent. This rant reminds me of a time a few years ago when I listened to an internet broadcast of an Akron-Navy game where Akron won. The broadcast was Navy's and the Navy broadcasters were steamed about how late in the game Akron seemed to be just pushing Navy around. They thought if Akron was beating them physically, it must of meant that the midshipmen's strength and conditioning routine was just way too soft. Quote

johnnyzip84 Posted November 16, 2008 Report Posted November 16, 2008 It looks like the final chapter in the 2008 'Cuse football saga has now been written. Now the horse is at least 18 feet under. Some UB Bulls fans seemed to be concerned about losing Gill to SU, from comments on their fan site last week.ESPN SU Fires Robinson Quote

If I was Buffalo I would also be worried about losing Turner Gill. He is a heck of a coach and they could have lost him to Nebraska last year. If Syracuse is smart, they would at least schedule him for an interview. Of course, I'd like to see him out of the MAC, so maybe someone should call Darryl Gross . Or maybe someone should just tell this Kenny character. Anybody checked his web site lately? Is he celebrating? Would it be possible to tell? And as an aside, Chase Blackburn got a start today and a nice mention (even where he was from) from the crew announcing the Giants-Ravens game today. Quote
