timmyboy Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 Can't state got another huge boost on defense when it was announced that former Youngstown Cardinal Mooney standout LB Taylor Hill said he will transfer to Can't State from the University of Michigan. I seen Hill play a few times during his Senior season at Mooney and as i said in previous posts about him..... this kid is very good. How does Can't State keep getting these high profile LB from the university of Michigan ( Mixon transfered from Uof M to Can't 2 seasons ago) -------------------------------------------- Below is the Article regarding Hill: -------------------------------------------------------------Big-time recruit joining football teamNovember 7th, 2008 by Jonas Fortune Anyone who is familiar with Youngstown Cardinal Mooney's dominant football team last year will know the name of Taylor Hill. Anyone who doesn't know of him, will soon enough.Recent reports have Hill, who originally committed to Oklahoma then went to Michigan instead, joining the Can't State Golden flushes next season. The 6'2" 205 pound linebacker never played a down for the Wolverines and no one is sure how his eligibility will work out for next season. He is a huge pickup. Mooney had a plethora of players attend major Division I colleges (Brandon Beachum and Mike Zordich joined Penn State, Dan McCarthy went to Notre Dame, John Simon is a Buckeye and Tim Marlowe went to Nebraska) from last year's team and Rivals ranked Hill as the best. This is a huge get for the flushes. Quote

If they weren't chokers in HS, K.e.n.t.'s football program molds them into chokers in their years 18-23. By the time they graduate in 4-5 years, they have a Doctorate in choking. Quote
Dr Z Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 I would keep him on the bench when Ken+ plays Toledo. Quote

ctmjbowes@sbcglobal.net Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 As I've followed MAC football more closely, I've been impressed by how little it means when, in isolation, a "name" high school kid joins one of these football programs. There are so many things that impact that player's ability to make any discernible impact on the field, including eligibility and academic progress issues, their place on depth charts, their physical growth and determination to get faster and stronger, their performance in coaches' eyes, etc, etc, etc.I think it much wiser to simply watch who actually makes it onto the team, and then onto the field of play when the games begin. There are likely at least a few Bains every year on every team in the country. Besides, in the end VerKlempt U sucks, year after year. I CAN'T imagine how badly they would have been losing of late without Edelman. Next year and the year after, they will suck. If Superstar LB From Wherever wants to join el-lameos, OK. He'll have the normal experience with the hippies at that most bland and unexceptional of universities, a place that oozes apathy and boredom. GO ZIPS.SeeTeeZip Quote
