joshgozips
OK, my fellow ZipsNationers, it's time for one final look into the "Crystal Ball: Rubber Bowl edition". Many of your have read the thread that the UB fans are posting...they are picking the Bulls by anywhere from 1 to 11 points. We all know that the Zips don't want it to and won't let it end on an "L".Looking at the team stats for both teams...the Zips average 30.2 points a game and allow an average of 28.4...while Buffalo averages 28.7 and gives up an average of 26.1. In many stats, the teams are eerily similar...Time of Possession (UA - 28:35, Opponents - 31:25, (UB - 31:33, Opponents - 28:27)Total Offense (UA - 3581, UB - 3414)First Downs (UA - 198, UB - 181)Passing Touchdowns (UA - 17, UB - 17)Records (UA - 5-4, 3-2; UB 5-4, 3-2)and on and on and on...Let's hear what everyone thinks the score to the game will be. I (of course) give the edge to the Zippers for many reasons, but think that it will be a very close and competitive game:Akron 31Buffalo

MDZip
Its all right theere, it really couldn't be set up any better for the team that was picked to finish last in the East to win it all. The toughest and most critical game of the year pitting two very evenly matched teams is at home and the final two games are against some pretty bad teams. Its so ripe for the taking. I say the home field advantange, emotion of the final game at the RB starts to carry over for the opening of Infocision. A MAC East title is in our grasp. I think Turner Gill is a class act, but his final visit to the RB will be a disappointment. Zips 35-31!
ZippyTuba11
I think the Zips will be extremely motivated from the start. Brookhart has a lot of fuel he can feed the 'good speech fire.' If the Zips come playing like they did against Toledo and keep the intensity up before a huge crowd, Buffalo won't stand a chance. That said, looking at the numbers I think which ever team's defense can come up with the first stop of these two offenses will win the game.Akron 51Buffalo
Zipmeister
I predict a 14 point win for the Zips.
johnnyzip84
I'm going to say that the two Zip players who switched units heading into this season are going to have the biggest impact on tonight's game. A VERY well rested Andre Jones will score twice and BWill will FINALLY have that huge defensive TD we've all been waiting for all season long. DK will carry his load. Starks, Willy, Roosevelt and company will score plenty as well, however, making this a shootout worthy of the RB's final game. The difference is Igor as he nails a 42 yarder with the clock running out.Zips 48Bulls
GoZips88
I was going to wait for Bleacher Bum's prediction before committing to mine but here goes ... Akron 38UB 27Come on Akron - a full house and quite a bit at stake should be more than enough motivation - notch the "W" and start the preparation for OU ... GO ZIPS !!! bUAkronG
I have a feeling we'll see a barn burner here tonight. This one could rest on the D's shoulders.Zips 51Bullsh*ts
ZachTheZip
I'm feeling better and better about this game as we get closer to kickoff.
