ZachTheZip
Dambrot unhappy with effort against PittAnd you should be too. The team can't afford to get starstruck. The biggest lesson they needed to take away from Pitt was that they can play with anybody in the country if they put in a good amount of effort. Unfortunately, they weren't playing their best in that game until the second half. There's no such thing as a good loss.

Buckzip
The quintessential KD line: ''If you are satisfied with a 19-point loss, you probably shouldn't be playing for me.'' Absolutely. KD gets it. Too bad that JD doesn't
tbozeglav
Hey... lets try to keep the JD hate to the football forums... hahahabut yeah, I totally agree. When your program just recruited one of the big men in the country and are aiming to compete in March Madness, you cannot come away from a loss happy. There's a reason Zeke is coming here and I am sure KD is it. This guy has a strong desire to win and I have a feeling that things will begin to fall into place for him. bigzipguy
Many of you might not agree with this idea, but how about sometimes putting Bardo at center, the McKnight brothers at forwards and Linhart at the 2 postition. Just a thought.
Captain Kangaroo
Watching the BG/OSU game last night...BG will be a tough match up for us too. Their big man Polk is a carbon copy of Pitt's Blair.

How long before MAC hoop announcers start whining about how the divisions are "unfair"

FromdaBurgh
This is what I've taught Zeke...NEVER BE TO IMPRESSED WITH ANYBODY OR ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That way playing against a team like Pitt or anybody else for that matter won't be so intimidating to him and it won't cause him to be off focused. I do recognize the fact that he may feel "fear", "jitters", "nerves" and things like that...but as he learns how to control his emotions and play HIS game the way he knows how he won't have to worry about any other opponent. I think if the team learns that lesson we won't have to worry about how they are going to respond to teams like BG, Can't or anybody else. BTW...I know there is a game tonight..at the JAR...Zeke is having his first scrimmage tonight. Should be interesting. He has been lifting 4 days a week, working real hard. I can't wait to see how McKeesport does tonight....so I'll miss the Zips game. AK ROWDIES...send a shout out for me and Zeke!!!!! I'll post tonight how he and the team looks.HOLLA
tpsjugglerdude
I spoke with one of the players last night and he said the first half were all jitters. Pitt's student section read all of our players profiles on fb and used information on it and it messed with their heads. The same thing we do to oposing goalies. Most of the football and basketball team is easily accessible on Facebook.Tell Zeke to set any online profiles to private and not to accept any friend requests that come from schools that are on the schedule. Anything and everything on a facebook/myspace account can be turned against you, even if it seems harmless.
FromdaBurgh
don't worry...although Zeke does have a myspace page it is set to private..heck I can't even find it. Zeke is very, very private even with his myspace page. But the great thing about Zeke is that he really doesnt give a flying **** what people think about him or what they say. Hey look at how he reacted to people when he committed to UofA....he didnt really care.
