tbozeglav
Yup... seeing that as well.I can't blame them, really. It was getting really bad out there real fast.I do, however, wonder how that's going to change those OSU students who were planning on coming for the game... Might make it an all-Akron crowd... That is just bizarre. I saw a lot of groundscrew on the field the past few days. Maybe they overworked the soil and as a result our field is a mudpit? Seems odd that both the location and the day changed.

ctmjbowes@sbcglobal.net
Was already downtown and parked when I learned about the postponement. Bummer since I was all suited up for the elements and the idea of playing in a snowstorm struck me as COOL. Anyway, I ended up meeting up with other fans at OBC and tipping down a few cool ones instead. Wherever the game ends up tomorrow I'll be there since I'm off this whole week.I think I'll start drinking....now.....to get ready.    KICK ASS ZIPS!SeeTeeZipper

I may have to stop by for a cold one or five at noon tomorrow and walk to the game! Anyone care to join me? Hopefully we won't be hit by a work day car on Market as we stumble to the game! ;) ;) ;) SeeTeeZip

BostonZip
I've been meaning to ask this question, and today's postponement prompted me to:Is InfoCision Stadium being designed to accommodate soccer, should the Zips wish to play an occasional game there, such as an NCAA playoff contest, or should a Columbus Crew game or MLS exhibition match come to Akron? Even then, if the crew were to play an exhibition match up north, I think they'd go right to Cleveland and skip Akron.Back to the game...If there are any students on here, rumor has it from the ROWDIES administration that there might be a shuttle bus set up to run students over to the soccer game starting at 1pm. No official details have been released, but I think the U can spare 1 bus to run over to SVSM.
tbozeglav
I just got this message in Facebook and thought I would share it with everyone who may need this info:Coach is currently having ST. V plow behind one of the goals!! Let's make a good showing today!!! PIZZA WILL STILL COME OUT... AND WHITE ROWDIE SHIRTS GET YOU IN FREE Here is the Shuttle info!!!Two Roo Express shuttles marked “Special Event” (that is what is running at the top) will be shuttling students back and forth to St. Vincent-St. Mary Football Stadium for the Akron Zips men’s soccer game against Ohio State. RootforRoo44
SVSM has field turf. Not sure if that would affect the game...With our speed and style of play, it should help us. You never know though, i guess a weird bounce that we are not used to could skip by into our goal today because of it as well.

The ball rolls much farther on turf, so you'll see a lot more balls going out of bounds.
