johnnyzip84 Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 With a 24-21 road upset of perhaps a "less than completely motivated" UB Bulls team today, did Doug Martin save his job for another year anyway? I actually think that he did, and for those who automatically think this is good news for UA since JD is 4-1 against him I do not necessarily think so. In spite of their record, I have been quite impressed by the talent level the flushes have been assembling lately. Of course, losing Edelman would seem to be a big blow. I guess if he's to be fired, it will happen here pretty soon. Quote
GP1 Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 Can't winning today reminds me of a usual golf outing for me when I used to play golf. I would suck for 17 holes and then par or birdie the final hole leaving me with a good feeling. Then I would come back for more abuse thinking I would not suck anymore and the same thing would happen. Can't just birdied the last hole. Will they now think they have turned the ship around? Quote
ZipAlumn Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 I watched the Buffalo-Can't game and I did not think either team lacked motivation. Buffalo showed no quit and Can't gave it their all. When you think about it with something to play for, the Zips lost their last three games. Each loss was more embarrassing than the previous one. Can't, had nothing to play for yet didn't mail it in like the Zips but beat the MAC East Champs in an exciting game. I wonder what Martin could have done with the talent the Zips have because he obviously knows how to motivate a team. Quote

InTheZone Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 Hopefully Martin did save his job. That way, our new head coach won't have to contend against much coming from across town. Quote
skip-zip Posted November 29, 2008 Report Posted November 29, 2008 If anything, this game was further evidence to me that the teams in the MAC East were pretty darn close from top to bottom this year. Quote
Lee Adams Posted November 29, 2008 Report Posted November 29, 2008 can't did some things the Zips failed to do...beat fuffalo, beat a team with a winning record and win ONE GD game when it counted...i HOPE the AD looks at this for what it says about our program... Quote

They didn't want it very much. That's why they lost, plain and simple. Quote
