RACER Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 my point is if kd had three losing season in a row he would have fired.jd had three losiing season in a row,and somehowhe's still here.most zips fans would be happy with a 6-6 record last year.if the b-ball team went .500 people on this board would rip kd.the b-ball team is judged at a higher standard then the football team. Captain Kangaroo Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 my point is if kd had three losing season in a row he would have fired.Logic is as unfamiliar to you as your Caps Lock button. Please tell me some facts to back up that statement. Anything.jd had three losiing season in a row,and somehow he's still here.I think everyone, including JD, knows that 2009 is do-or-die. There won't be a year #7 if 2009 is a bust. most zips fans would be happy with a 6-6 record last year.Maybe because it would have indicated progress. Bowl eligibility. Been a stepping stone?if the b-ball team went .500 people on this board would rip kd.Wholly untrue, at least to your degree. Would KD be satisfied with an average, .500 season? No. So why should the Zips fans who so freely discuss shortcomings of the football program avoid any negative mention of an average basketball season? Why the double standard?the b-ball team is judged at a higher standard then the football team. With great gifts come great responsibilities. Quote

But I will go on record as agreeing with RACER on this .. I don't have the time to pull out quotes, but you don't have to look very far to find evidence that supports both sides, including RACER's .. unfortunately the Dayton thread, which included a lot of it .. was lost in the server hack.Perhaps hoops is judged on a tougher scale than football because at its heart, UA is a basketball school. Go Zips .. snag the sweaters! B) B) Quote
