Zipmeister
We need another home game for the upcoming season. An examination of the following web site will reveal that all but a handful of teams have their 2009 schedule set and most with an opening are probably looking for a home game themselves. Central Arkansas is looking for two opponents, or maybe we can talk the Mean Green into visiting one more time. I'm thinking there is a pretty good chance we have to bring in a 1AA (I know it's not officially called that anymore) to fill out the schedule. http://www.nationalchamps.net/NCAA/college...2009_schedules/
johnnyzip84
Maybe we could get Salem U? After all they dropped the alliance with Teikyo U of Japan. Besides, QB Jimbo Fischer has long since used up his eligibility!Wiki SalemWiki Jimbo

Besides, QB Jimbo Fischer has long since used up his eligibility!Wiki SalemWiki JimboThis is one of your better ideas. Which of their teams do you recommend we bring in? SIU participates in NCAA Division II competing in the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The Tigers field teams in basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, volleyball, water polo, swimming, golf, and tennis. People might pay good money to watch us take on their water polo team.On a related topic, why does almost everyone other than Akron have their 2009 OOC schedule locked up, but we don't? I mean how tough can it be to take a few Socceroos, and diver or two, the Tonganator and stick Zeke in the middle (he can probably touch on his tippy-toes) and have, say track Coach Mitchell mold them into a top-notch D-2 water polo team? We can fill the Info with water like the Romans used to do in the Coliseum.Regarding your legitimate question, maybe the Kentucky game snafu has something to do with that? Kangaroo Craig
Sucks that they still have the Rubber Bowl listed as our home field.
ZippyRulz
It will take a few years to eliminate all the RB references, like it did with our old logos. Is anything happening with the old lady yet? I never heard if anyone successfully extracted a urinal trough(?)

Is anything happening with the old lady yet? I never heard if anyone successfully extracted a urinal trough(?)I'm predicting the endzone seating to collapse in the spring. There's an underground spring eating away at the concrete there and it looks like its already started to sink in one or two spots, and once all this snow melts it should speed up the process. Captain Kangaroo
On a related topic, why does almost everyone other than Akron have their 2009 OOC schedule locked up, but we don't?We had a 1-AA team scheduled, but allegedly a Big 10 team (Michigan?) offered them a lot more money and they backed out. IF this is true, and I repeat IF, they have a qb named Carlton Jackson.I looked for Morgan State's football schedule for 2009 and could not find it. Had I located it and seen that they had finalized it then I would not be thinking that this was a possible direction for an opponent.Anyone else hearing this?? Again, to repeat it IS unsubstantiated but the "source" was a pretty reliable one. And they did tell me that nothing is finally arranged. That would be ironic if true, though.Go Zips!!
