Big Zip
Dambrodt beaten out by Charlie Coles -- man is that terrible. Akron finishes one game behind Miami when they were picked to be bad and Coles gets the award? Congratulations to Romeo (All-MAC Second Team) -- only underclassman to be selected to the first or second team All-MAC. Peterson names honorable mention -- would be nice for them both to get the nod as First Teams in 2006. If they take another step forward and Wood bounces back -- could you see three first Team all MAC players at Akron in 2006?

He had the Xavier and Purdue OOC wins AND he won the league title, leading essentially wire-to-wire. Good cases could be made for Dambrot, O'Shea, Witherspoon and Christian too. KingZip
Don't think Akron will have three first-team performers. Ohio had two of the best players in the league this year and both were freshmen. No one knows what role Travis will play next season with Wood returning, or how good Wood will be coming off surgery. Dru Joyce is not all-mac material, he can barely keep up now and is getting pushed by a freshman. This has been a good year but you should not get ahead of yourself thinking Akron is going to all of a sudden be a MAC powerhouse. With BG coming over to the East it will get tougher in 2005-2006, not easier. Losing McFadden and Collins will be tough to replace, even with Dials. If Akron can match a 6 seed next year I would be happy.

Quit cluttering up the board with your ignorance and negative comments. You're bringing me down on a great week of college hoops. zipboy
Doesn't BG lose about 90% of their scoring with Almanson and Reimold leaving?
Z-Pouch
Doesn't BG lose about 90% of their scoring with Almanson and Reimold leaving? Yes. BG has some work to do not to slip some spots. There will be some great games in the future with Ohio.
