johnnyzip84
Excellent, CK! I'll start making my travel plans accordingly. I believe both Shane and Walt have coached in the Carrier Dome before. Being the last non-conf game for the 'Cuse, and more importantly the way the Zips beat them last year, I see this as a potentially pivotal game for SU in Doug Marrone's 1st season as HC. It should be fun.

timmyboy
do we get a return game? Will syracuse be coming to akron to play in our new stadium. Then Trey Fairchild (kid whos dad came on the board saying how much he loved akron) will see why he shoulda picked Akron. He coulda been with a rising football program, but decided to go with the program that was doing down faster then a keg at a college party. g-mann17
So this poses an interesting question on how our Schedule will look. @ Penn State September 5Open September 12Indiana September 19Open September 26@ Syracuse October 3rd8 MAC opponentsand 1 as of yet unnamed Non-conference (THE University of South Dakota?)So we are either going to have a bye week following the Nittany Lions or we are playing a MAC away game the second week of the season after what will be a very physical game against Penn State. Also it looks like our follow up to a Big 10 opponent in our brand new stadium will be some crap 1-AA team.edited by special request of Zipmeister so as not to annoy him

It really irritates me, and just about everyone else on this board when you refer to the University of South Dakota as South Dakota U. As you can see I edited it just for you.

From what I remember, the Syracuse deal was a 2-for-1 ... games AT Syracuse in 2008 and 2009 with them coming to Akron in 2010. We're upholding our end of the bargain and I see no reason why they won't do the same and be here in 2010. Who really knows though with college football scheduling.
