zipseuph
This reminds me of the Rasheed wallace-Ilgauskas thing a couple of years ago. Z's head was wide open with a lot of blood flowing. No one in a Cavs uniform got in Rasheed's face...What did Rasheed say after the game? Z deserved it and he would do it again. What did the NBA do? nothing.Today, when any cavs player is fouled hard, the agressor will get it. As a result, they think twice before they foul and the refs know that it will not go by without serious actions so they act accordingly. It shouldn't be like that in a perfect world but: Welcome to the real world. For Singletary to leave the court untouched is not a shot at Linhart's manhood but the manhood of the other zips on the floor. If it doesn't bother you to see your teammate (let alone your captain) suckerpunched, you're not a teammate. So greater "manhood" would have been shown by also getting one of the Zips ejected? It takes far greater strength and self-discpline to walk away and do the right thing for your team than retaliate and show you are no better. Even over on the Can't boards there are calls for addtional suspension time.I don't think one of the Akron players should have hit back but one of them should have step up to Mr. THug and told him that this crap isn't gonna fly. just get in his grill a little. not doing so shows that you have no respect for your team mates or backbone. but again it's something you have to go the right way about doing. I'm sure if I walked up and punched one of your family members like that you wouldn't just "walk away." atleast I hope you wouldn't

Letting the thug know that was an unnacceptable act by getting in his face would have seemed to be reasonable, but what else might have resulted from it? Of course this rhetorical argument would be a lot more compelling had the Zips won the game. Oh karma where are you? Maybe it's saving it for the MAC tournament. UAZipster0305
question: because he was ejected, doesn't he have an automatic 1 game suspension? or is that up to the discretion of the coach/university?No game suspension because is was not a fighting foul. According to the talking heads on tv.The only thing that didn't make it a fight was Nate's showing class and not retaliating. Had he done so, both would have been suspended for fighting. What a joke!...Throwing a punch is a one-sided fight.
zip37
Easy solution to inconsistent calls: Habve 2 pay scales, if both coaches agree that the gamewas called consitently [either good or bad, players/coaches can adjust if all is consistent] theofficials get a higher pay, if not lower pay.
