Z.I.P.
Can anyone confirm that the Akron - Gonzaga game is at 11:59 PM EST on Thursday? I've seen only one source and I'm not sure. If true, I might be able to get into PDX on Thursday for the game and out on Sunday. Someone please respond!
zippyrifle32
i was just going to ask this.
Dave in Green
I've been asking the same question and can't get an answer. The best I've been able to come up with is that one person thinks the Gonzaga game is going to be a prime time (night) game because Gonzaga fans are planning to come out in hordes. Anyway, after checking flights, the cheapest roundtrip is $800 HON-PDX, so it looks like I'm out. I'll probably be watching with about 100 Zags alums and three Zips at a bar. ZachTheZip
It's still TBA.
ZachTheZip
NCAA.com has the game at 4:25 PM. I don't know if that's Eastern or Pacific.
zippy5
NCAA.com has the game at 4:25 PM. I don't know if that's Eastern or Pacific.hopefully eastern. i think maybe less students would make the trip if they had to miss class and perhaps stay overnight 6 hrs. away...that would be a plus for the zips. tpsjugglerdude
That is Pacific time according to the Zags board.

skip-zip
That would make it 7pm, which would be perfect for us watching on tv here.However...Channel 5 just said that no game times will be announced until tomorrow.

Deeustin89
it would be perfect if the game was at midnight, less competition for air time. that is, unless you have to get up early friday, but wouldn't you rather be a little tired and get so see more of the game? zagirl2k
http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/ncaa/s...etdivision1.pdfentire bracket from ncaa with start times. all times are local to where the game is being played so our game is Pacific Time (4:25).I love the disclaimer at the bottom about opposing wagering and not using it for office pools. Like that is going to stop anyone.
skip-zip
Well...I guess the Zags fans were right.....the game is now officially listed this morning as 7:25 EASTERN.Perfect....could not have worked out any better for those of us who will be working, and can't get out there. I was fearing a 12pm game time. Now, I can anticipate some great atmospheres at some local establishments for the viewing of the game. In 1986, we had an early afternoon game time. It stunk.
