ZachTheZip Posted April 23, 2009 Report Posted April 23, 2009 http://rivalshoops.rivals.com/viewprospect...814&sport=2Cameron Wright DE-committed from OSU today. He was a target for Akron for 2010. He's a 3-star 6'5" SG. Quote
Blue & Gold Posted April 23, 2009 Report Posted April 23, 2009 Do you mean he DE-committed from OSU? Quote

Quickzips Posted April 23, 2009 Report Posted April 23, 2009 Sounds like he's another nice recruit on the radar for us. We could certainly use some size at SG and Cameron has that. Noticing that he is on King James AAU team. Wonder if that could sway his decision at all???I still think Payne and Weatherspoon should be our top targets, but with everyone looking at those two, Cameron would certainly be a nice under the radar 2nd option. WinZip Posted April 23, 2009 Report Posted April 23, 2009 Looks like he'd be a pretty nice pick up. What position(s) do you think we should be looking for? Quote

What position(s) do you think we should be looking for?Personally, I think we should be looking for another big man. But I'm thrilled with the caliber of recruits we're involved with anymore! ****Zeke, *****Payne, ***Weatherspoon, ***Wright. These are all very high caliber recruits. We've got a handful of All-Ohio and All-Pennsylvania players on the team now, but none of them were as widely coveted as the fellas we're now involved with. It's just great to see Akron mentioned right along with some traditional, powerhouse programs. Quote
jeaglet1 Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 I couldnt read the article above (not a member) but read somewhere that Wright was recruited to OSU by Groce. Once groce left for Ohio, he didn't feel wanted. I would think that puts OU on his short list. I also heard the same day Matta got news of Wright's de-commit, he was at Northland High School Offering Weatherspoon the open scholarship. Not sure how accurate it is, just passing it along. Quote

Quickzips Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 Does anyone know what OU's scholarship situation even looks like right now? They have had so much turnover there the last couple years it is hard to keep track of it. I know they have a seven player class coming in already at this point. I wonder if they even have the 2010 scholarships to offer to Wright. Quote
ZachTheZip Posted April 27, 2009 Author Report Posted April 27, 2009 Ohio has plenty of room for more recruits. Quote
