GP1 Posted June 9, 2009 Report Posted June 9, 2009 I dare anyone on this board to surf the net to see who is playing back-up QB with each NFL team. When you do, please notify everyone on this board of which happened first:1. Vomit2. LaughterBrett Favre could actually start in the NFL next year. The guy stinks.Frye will be competing against Bruce Gradkowski for back-up. My team, the Steelers, has Charlie (Where's my wheelchair) Batch and Dixon (for crying out loud, I don't even know his first name). If Roethlisberger was hurt for the season the first game, they would be lucky to win four games all season. The point is this. A lot of negative things get written about Frye and he deserves every one of them. However, considering the level of "talent" at back-up QB in the NFL, there is certainly a place for him there. Hell, half the starters stink.I say good for Charlie. It is better than a real job and considering the state of the economy, it is at least a job. Quote

It is better than a real job and considering the state of the economy, it is at least a job.I'm sure most players in the NFL, even established starters, think about what it would be like if their career ended and they suddenly had to take a pay cut in the hundreds of thousands to even in the millions. But in the fore-front of Charlies mind, I am quite sure, thoughts like these rarely dwell. The moment you aren't living and dying to get on that field and winning is the moment you may as well pack your bags because you don't belong there. Quote

ZachTheZip Posted June 11, 2009 Report Posted June 11, 2009 Good luck to him. With Al Davis in charge of the Raiders, you never know just what will happen. Frye could end up being the starter in Week 1. Or he could be asked to switch to nose tackle for all we know. Davis is senile and you have no idea what he might decide. Quote
