The actual full quote isMust-see game: Sept. 19 vs. Indiana. The Zips welcome their first-ever Big Ten opponent, the Hoosiers, to Akron and break in their new stadium all in one fell swoop. Which, as you can see, is incorrect. Nice find G-mann, I already contacted the writer and suggested he check his facts... I also should've made fun of his humorless SNL headline. ;)

I opened up a thread over there too, just to make sure he at least pays attention to us.

Personally, I liked the article. Are you guys just bent because they didn't pick Akron #1? You know nobody ever won a MAC championship in a preseason prediction article. I enjoyed the writers link to Almond's interview, I missed that one in July. I liked his headline as much as I like Dan, that dude is fun to watch and should be playing on Sundays eventually. I would rather the Zips be picked fifth in all the preseason rags, I like being the underdog.

I'm more bent about the lack of research. And inconsistency in decisioning.Buffalo will repeat when they lost the biggest key to their offense (an overperforming Drew Willy).Ball State will scrape the bottom of the West when they are in the same situation as Buffalo (key players returning at RB and on Defense)Temple who barely squeeked out 4 wins (they kicked our butt so that doesn't count) is 2 and they lost their key offensive players, and the reason they lost was weak offense. They just don't do any real research. As I pointed out with the quote.

I'm sorry, good doctor, but I couldn't possibly disagree more about LeFevour. He's a classic product of a college system and consequently his game does not translate effectively to the pro level IMHO. I tell you what. I'll do the naked angel thing with the Can't T-shirt if proven otherwise. Or else I'll promise NOT to do it. Your choice

you know we had a huge discusion on how to get people to like the band and I think you just gave us the answer. after this the band could come out and do nothing but stand still and play Mozart and the audiance would shower us with thanks.p.sit would take a confident man to do that in the snow

I understand what you say, but I see more than that when I watch him. I like his release and pocket presence. We'll get a better evaluation come September 26th. Then we can have a more educated debate.
