ilikeInfoCision
I thought the event was very well done. Very simple. Liked the fact that they had a ticket booth to buy tickets. Like that people got just enough of a taste of concessions and a merchandise stand.I couldn't see enough! I think that I sat in just about every section at one point or another during my visit! So what did everyone think of their visit to the nearly complete InfoCision Stadium? What parts did you see? What parts did you enjoy? What parts did you sneak off to see that you should not have. :-DLooking forward to hearing everyone's thoughts and seeing everyone's pictures. w00t
It made me feel proud to be a Zip that's for sure. Pretty much every seat in the place affords a quality view too. Next steps are to pack the place, bulldoze the rest of Exchange St. to build some nicer looking bars and eateries (it seems terribly run down when you're looking at it past a nice, new video/scoreboard) , and win some games! Dr Z
Event was well done again. Good job to those in charge. Nice to get to tour the Club level this time. AWESOME view of campus from there. For anybody wondering I was able to pick up wifi in the stands today. East side is going to get the brunt of the weather. I sat up top and realized the wind is going to rip through there. West side is "protected" some. The speaker system sounded good to me. Players walking around the place seemed "proud" to me. Should be a slam dunk recruiting tool. Lot 9 looks to be a great place to tailgate, seems like you are "right on top" the game day action. I can't remember who was (wrongly) complaining that JD was not available at the last open house, he was on the field today talking to anybody that wanted to talk to him for the majority of time that I was there. Can't wait for opening day. PS I have seen the bathroom doors on the stalls with my own eyes now. Once again, those of you that have only see the Info through photos and web cams are in for a treat when you visit, first class facility! Let'sGoZips94
Players walking around the place seemed "proud" to me. Should be a slam dunk recruiting tool.My family and I talked to a few players and one of them mentioned that they were looking at a few other schools including OU, but that Akron's campus was nicer and easier to get around (OU is apparently too spaced out). He also mentioned the stadium was a big factor in his decision. GREAT job today though. VERY impressed with the stadium and how the event was run. It was fun just to walk around and the fact that they let you walk on the field was awesome. PUMPED FOR THE MORGAN STATE GAME! GO ZIPS!!!! Dr Z
POST SOME PICTURES Your getting spoiled. You aren't going to see much more of the stadium than you have already seen on this site by ZN members. ZN has done a bang up job with photos. I have some photos of the club level stuff, and some photos that are sort of unique that I might post later. I would guess many have photos of a lot of players, maybe even one with monster hands. I think it's time to step up your support for your team and see the stadium in person.

akronad
I thought it was great todya. I spoke with JD & Paul Hammond (Associate AD for Facilities & Operations). They both thanks for coming. The players were great. Some were on the rrof of the North end zone signing autographs & others were down on the field interacting with the kids. It was awe inspiring walking in at 11:00 with many other people. The excitement has building and will continue to build, right up to that first kick-off. The university and community should be very proud of this new structure.BRING ON MORGAN STATE!!
Zip N' Dots
I talked with Andre Jones today, an amazing person, very well spoken. He thinks the Zips will definitely surprise the Nittany Lions. I love the attitude he had towards the game and the season.

Dr Z
Did anyone watch the team head over from the Field House? I hear that is how they will enter on Game day....Yes, they walked out of the back door of the Field House and entered the stadium. Their locker rooms are in the Field House, so yes, that's how they will do it game day. They did not do it all at once yesterday so it wasn't that impressive and they were only wearing their jerseys and sweats/shorts so if you were looking to be impressed by this site yesterday you will probably want to see it happen Sept 12th, not yesterday. GO ZIPS!!!!Hey ill be honest with you, OU's campus is a bit less spaced out than Akron's. Especially with the parking situation this semester, that has made it not even close. But i'll be happy that this player thought that it was the case and came here because of it.
bUAkronG
I think my favorite thing was the fact that the scoreboard read UA 6 - MS 0 with 14:58 to go in the first quarter =P

I haven't walked around the OU campus so I can't comment, but the heart of UA's campus is really crammed in there as a result of the early days! Aaron
The only disappointing to me about the tour was the trash already in place. There were cigarette butts all over the family sections 202 and 204, counted easily a packs worth up there. Out on the field, we noticed some gum in the astroturf while waiting for the kids inflatables. Open to the public with free food, I knew there would be people there who just didn't care, I just didn't think it would be that bad. I hope everything is cleaned up in the next two weeks for a beautiful first game!

Our tour guide mentioned that if they don't sell out club level season tickets, they will be available for single game purchases.First Kids Party on the FieldPS The white tent between the building is where the players were seated and signing everybody's poster. Kids walked out with a poster covered with autographs. I didn't count, but I bet twenty players were seated and signing autographs.I need to get back there to see the finished product and see a game. better than what they got here in Phoenix
